Something the 'liberal' media didn't cover. Racist tried to sell bombs.

"A federal judge sentenced a former Ku Klux Klansman to 14 years in prison Friday for making pipe bombs and selling them to an undercover informant who said they would be used to kill illegal immigrants.

Daniel Schertz, 27, apologized to his family before the judge gave him the maximum possible penalty in a plea agreement.

"The court is not going to take into account at all your involvement with the Ku Klux Klan. That is your right," federal Judge Curtis L. Collier told him. "We do punish for behavior."

Schertz pleaded guilty to building five pipe bombs and selling them to an undercover informant for $750 in April. The bombs were to be "detonated on a bus carrying Mexican workers to work in Florida," according to his plea agreement."

3. Anti-immigrant hate has long been a staple of American idiots
going back as far as Millard Fillmore's "Know-Nothing Party"...and isn't that a perfect name for the far right wing?

2. More on this...
"The Southern Poverty Law Center's Intelligence Report counted 762 active hate groups in the United States in 2004. South Carolina had the most, with 47, and Tennessee had the most Klan chapters, with 13.
David Lubell, director of the Nashville-based Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition, said the Schertz case shows how supremacist talk can prompt violence.
"It is what happened in the civil rights movement. All of a sudden it is acceptable to incite hatred of immigrants, whether Latino, or from Africa, or Asia or wherever," he said.
Lubell said "usually it is a lone wolf kind of person who listens to these messages and acts on them ... This is just a symptom of what has been anti-immigrant sentiment, much more freely used by radio talk show hosts, anti-immigrant groups and even politicians."

Worth noting that Chimpy's homeland security department generally turns a blind eye to this sort of thing, preferring to focus on "eco-terrorism"....
