Tavis Smiley nitpick..

I lOVE Tavis and his show, but damn..it makes me so mad when he has a great first guest like Jonathon Kozol, and has to "cut it short" because the 2nd segment fluff guest (usually an author/actor/singer) is coming on..

He's only got a half hour show, and I WISH he would step up and fill the gap in the last half hour that NOW had taken away from it.

There are PLENTY (TOO MANY) outlets for "entertainment",and seriously FEW for serious uninterrupted political commentary..

I have written and asked him a few times to modify the show...so far no luck

1. One thing about the fluff guests...

...is that the story they all tell is basically progressive. It's never, "my dad was rich and famous so I got a break." It's "I worked hard and fortunately, my work was rewarded, and I never could have done it in a society that was closed to everyone but the powerful."

on the serious guest:)

Better yet, he should have at least an hour:)

He's has some good guests.. I just wish the show was longer
