If you get FBI or CIA mail
http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=internetNews&storyID=2005-11-21T220603Z_01_MCC179522_RTRUKOC_0_US-FBI.xml
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The FBI on Monday said e-mails made to look like they come from the agency are warning computer users that the FBI is monitoring their Internet use.

"These scam e-mails tell the recipients that their Internet use has been monitored by the FBI and that they have accessed illegal Web sites," the FBI said in a statement. "The e-mails then direct recipients to open an attachment and answer questions."

"These e-mails did not come from the FBI," the statement said. "Recipients of this or similar solicitations should know that the FBI does not engage in the practice of sending unsolicited e-mails to the public in this manner."

Opening e-mail attachments from an unknown sender is risky, the FBI said, because such attachments can contain viruses that infect the recipient's computer.

If you get this type of mail Report it here..http://www.ic3.gov/

3. I got one
and deleted it promptly - can't rember the email address accept I think it was from something@fbi.gov and said I was looking at illegal websites - my question is just what sites are illegal.

I have no intention of reporting it.....

5. it doesn't matter if any sites are "illegal"
The whole point of the email is to try to get you to open the attachment, and get your computer infected. Spammers will say anything they think will get you to do that.

6. Oh I know that
I was just curious if there are any websites that are actually considered illegal - or if a website could even be considered illegal and if so what sites might be I actually got two emails today that had goofy attachments on them and deleted them immediately....
