That was a pretty comic moment...

True, it was an attempt to minimize the stature of Bush by belittling him.

There's always one more question, you have to cut it off at some point. Here the Post acts as if Bush should have stayed until every question was asked. That would take hours.

Reuters never misses a chance to take a cheap shot at Bush.

Yeah, we have no idea how many questions had been asked so far, about what, how they were asked, etc. These reporters could have been asking him "Mr. President, when did you stop beating your wife?" for all we know. I'd really like to see this in context.

My question is WHY was the door locked?

I consider that a security hazard.

Surely the Chinese could have stationed guards at each door and left them open. Suppose something had happened, where it would have been life or death to get out quickly.

Thank God, that nothing happened, but this is not funny.

Another example of the MSM trying to embarass the President. The reporter wasn't satisfied with one. He wanted to get in a second shot!

4. Bullshit
Bush walked into the room through the panel behind the lectern. He simply FORGOT how to get out of the room after five minutes. The only person embarrassing Bush is Bush himself. Unfortunately, he embarrasses America at the same time.

8. I never said Bush didn't do all of that.
And I see a lot of people are howling that we don't know the security plans (why would we). Well, fine. But if we were discussing fire hazards it'd seem very strange. So whatever, I'm sure some people with very good security clearances are agonizing over this right now.

12. Fire doors push out.
That's why he was stuck, he has a one-track mind, he's afraid to change course and try a better way.

10. I'm sure he was well briefed about how to exit.
His besotted brain probably couldn't process the information. What a pathetic joke of an excuse for a "leader" that morAn is.

6. I don't care.
I think it's funny how the freepers are giving all these excuses for the Chimp. If it were a democratic president, we would all just laugh it off but most of these folks get upset at *'s goofiness and blame the press.

:eyes:

Did Clinton ever try to run from the press like that?

7. "I consider that a security hazard." I see, so this guy is privy to the
security plans, knew the layout of the room, knew how many Chinese and US security personnel were in place AND their placement AND assignments? It was no casual oversight that door was locked. Heads of foreign state don't go anywhere that doors in the path aren't checked, re-checked and triple checked.

More co-dependent behavior on the Bush* side - someone is ALWAYS making excuses for him - it must be exhausting and at some point wouldn't a person with half a functioning brain just have to start having that crisis of confidence?

Yes, B*** is supposed to 'stay until every question is asked'...that's what he was there for.

13. Der SchimpanseFuehrer is ever serving the Fatherland
Even in the tumult and sweep of important international affairs on the world stage, Der SchimpanseFuehrer thinks of his people and makes funny faces and pretends to forget which door he came through, all in an effort to amuse us and relieve our tensions and worries. Yes, the greatness of Der SchimpanseFuehrer extends even to sacrificing his own self-image for the sake of the people.

Ein Volk! Ein Reich! Ein SchimpanseFuehrer!
