Personally, I would fire the man that helped take us to war based on WRONG intelligence. Instead, mr boosh* gives him the highest civilian honor, Medal of Freedom. This says it all about George W. Bush*.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian award, recognizes exceptional meritorious service. The medal was established by President Truman in 1945 to recognize notable service in the war. In 1963, President Kennedy reintroduced it as an honor for distinguished civilian service in peacetime.

3. It seems they're handing them out like candy now
I think Muhammad Ali got a Medal of Freedom a week or two ago. He was a great boxer, but what has he done to deserve the Medal of Freedom?

He refused to serve. He was truly a political hero before it was popular.

Here's a link to those who have received the MOF.

13. To shut him up
Tenet fell on the sword and took responsibility for the faulty intelligence, never mentioning the role Cheney & the Administration played in pressuring the CIA, twisting CIA info, and seeking intelligence from outside sources. He deserved a medal for that!
