Teresa LaPore - the Butterfly Queen strikes again
Just when you think you've heard the last of someone, they rear their ugly little head again begging for attention.

LePore may not give a damn about election law when it comes to screwing up a presidential election. But if you're her opponent in a race, you better dot the i's and cross the t's because Teresa is going to come after you.

November 19, 2005

<snip>

Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Arthur Anderson, agreed to a $12,500 fine for five violations associated with a $25,000 campaign loan from his wife in his 2004 election campaign to unseat Theresa LePore.

<snip>

Anderson called the consent order, allowing him to avoid an administrative hearing and up to $107,000 in penalties in addition to legal fees, a "business decision."

"It wasn't practical to continue the process, although I do feel as well that we would have had a good chance to prevail on my side," Anderson said Friday.

LePore, whom Anderson attacked for her role in the 2000 butterfly ballot design and choice of electronic voting equipment, said she felt "vindicated," by the deal.

"My only hope is that he's had 11 months in office now and hopefully he understands the law better," LePore said.

1. Isn't it funny how plaintiffs who win personal injury suits against
giant corporations are sworn to secrecy by their settlements, so nobody ever knows who really prevailed in the end--but in this lawsuit (which was not a personal injury suit), the so-called "winner" gets to crow about it?

2. This guy is not as smart as the other Arthur Anderson, who just
would have shredded all the evidence...

3. Didn't someone uncover ties between LePore and arms dealer Khashogi?
flight attendant on a special flight or some odd connection?

4. Yep, back in her younger days
when she might have been slightly less ugly then she is now. I hear knee pads were part of the safety equipment on those flights.
