Outrage !!!
For pure hypocrisy and outrage it's hard to beat the GOP leadership in Washington.

Just take a look at the last 48 hours in the U.S. House of Representatives. The Republican leadership twisted every arm it could to get a draconian set of budget cuts through by the narrowest of margins: 217-215. What do the cuts mean? Nothing much if you aren't one of the thousands of people who rely upon food stamps to put food on the table, depend upon Medicaid to allow your children to achieve some degree of decent health care, or need the Government's assistance in going after a "deadbeat Dad."

We've heard it all before, right? Spending cuts to those most vulnerable in society while corporations and wealthy Americans continue to get tax breaks and subsidies. Incredibly, it gets worse.

Just another step on the road to imminent anarchy.

3. What really outrages me is how little outrage there is on this
board about this topic. People just keep posting the same shit on the same subjects ad nauseum in thier own words instead considering the fact that there are other important things going on right under our noses that will have much more of an effect on our daily lives than most of the topics du jour.

4. You mean like this petition I posted yesterday?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=5408249&mesg_id=5408249

It's really important, I had a clear subject line and it sank like a rock.

*sigh*

...but I'm glad that all the really "important" threads from yesterday managed to keep bumped to the first couple of pages...:eyes: :sarcasm:

6. I K&R'd it
that has implications -- if the Gulf Coast is allowed to be eviscerated, then what does that mean for any other calamity in another part of the USA?

12. Yeah, just like that. I wish I had seen it and I always try to bump
up things like this, but I come on here periodically, so I miss a lot. The reason I come on periodically is because things are getting very monotonous - the same thing being served 800 different ways.

9. It's pathetic isn't it?
I'm livid over this crap! There is a total war going on aimed at the poor and middle class in this country! People don't notice until the war lands right at their front door when they lose a job or get ill and need help but help is nowhere to be found!

Too bad people don't put as much energy into the shitload of injustices Congress-rethug and dem alike-have thrown at the American people on a daily basis the past several years. Instead people around here care more about posting in a thread where * tried to open a locked door after a speech or some other such nonsense. :eyes:

13. It's like there are important posts - things we should all know about
and be writing to our congress people about (or taking action in some way) and there are "glamour" posts, which is the "cool" topic of the week or day or whatever. Everything but the glamour post pretty much gets overlooked.

The reason I came here in the first place was to learn what was REALLY going on and discuss it with like minded people - also to inform those out there that never get exposed to anything but MSM. What happened to the diversity of news and opinion on this board?

We need Rep. Corinne Brown on the impeachment investigation if there ever is one. I just saw her hand one of the RW liars, Jeffrey Rosen, counsel for the Department of Transportaion, his ass back to him because he refused to answer her question and attempted to change the subject and filibuster instead. She didn't let him. The type of questions she asked are the ones that should be asked of * when his time comes.

You should be 'reasonable' and try to reach out to them. We need compromise, not all this yelling and screaming. Hey, things have changed and you've just got to accept it, that's progress after all. :sarcasm:

See this drek;
