1. On line polls are garbage
I really don't know why so many people here put so much stock in them.

3. I usually don't take these because
my general impression is that they're mostly looking to gauge viewership numbers, more or less. But it's still fun to see a "good" one get reported.

5. Yes, they are reported all the time.
That's why we do this.

7. It's information
If we like the results, we tend to agree. If we dislike them, we tend to post about how people shouldn't put stock in them. :)

It's just data - to be considered as such.

8. I hate this "poll". The question is a set up.
It's the Republican spin line. And someone needs to smack them up side the head about this. :nuke:

10. Not really. I want the troops out now. Right now.

I do not give a damn what we are leaving behind. It will be a bloodbath, but one that was always going to happen, except we precipitated it prematurely.

We will never escape the stain of having caused it. But we need to come home and save our pennies for the war reparations. Because we DO owe them big.

17. Always going to happen? Not exactly.
It's our mess. We made it happen. And if we just walk...it will get worse. And not just for the middle east. This isn't like the Soviets leaving Afghanistan.

I'm with Clark.

20. Agreed. It's our mess.
If we'd stayed out and waited for Saddam, a man in his sixties under constant stress, to die, it would have been THEIR mess.

We could have maintained our lofty superiority, maybe stepping in to quell the civil war after it had done enough damage.

It was ALWAYS going to happen as soon as the strong man was out of the way.

Now, all the blood is on our hands. Deservedly.

14. Done ~ at first I didn't see the value

in responding to the various MSM polls, now I do.

They are used everyday to quote to the world how people are feeling.

Even though they say, "this is not a scientific poll" it doesn't seem to matter.

Usually, those numbers stick in your head and Americans like to quote CNN and MSNBC etc.
