Republicans to Red States…"Stay off Public Lands."
Edited on Sat Nov-19-05 01:14 PM by The Whiskey Priest

The Republicans are going to sell off the public lands that you hunt and fish on, the public lands you graze your cattle on, the public lands you took your kids camping on……You can thank us next election….just like you always have done. We did you a good deed. We rid your state of all that public land….it now belongs to the corporations.

Oh yes, if you made your living through tourism....find a job.

Welcome to North Dakota!
Pick up the trail of America's greatest legends in North Dakota, and you'll find yourself in a legendary adventure of your own. Lewis and Clark, Sakakawea, George Custer, Sitting Bull and Theodore Roosevelt lived out larger-than-life adventures here. Whether you follow in their footsteps and rediscover the past or blaze your own trail and discover what makes North Dakota legendary today, you'll find wide-open spaces and wide-open fun!

This is the official Web site of the North Dakota Tourism Division. We hope you'll find this site helpful as you create a legendary adventure in our state. If you have any suggestions of how we can make it better, please e-mail them to us. Don't forget, if you don't find what you're looking for here, call one of our travel counselors at 1-800-HELLO-ND (1-800-435-5663). Thank you for visiting!

5. "Adventure Pass"
In southern california, we get to pay $5 each time we "use" the national forest. Use is defined as deriving some kind of enjoyment. You can drive on the road, but you can't get out and look unless you pay the fee. They talk up how great the system is, because then they can build picnic areas, restrooms, visitor centers, gift shops, Taco Bells....

How about this - I don't pay a fee, and you don't build anything on my wilderness!!! Problem solved.

I have never paid the fee.
