Look how lazy assed media frames Hunter res. As "calls" for withdrawal.
WASHINGTON - The House on Friday overwhelmingly rejected calls for an immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq, a vote engineered by Republicans that was intended to fail. Democrats derided the vote as a political stunt.

It was not a call for an immediate troop withdrawal. This is the second time I've seen this reported that way. It was a strawman.

Would they have reported this story the same way if the Dems had simply refused to give the Republicans the time of day on this obvious bullshit?

1. It was a Republican resolution and did call for immediate withdrawl
Resolved, That it is the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of United States forces in Iraq be terminated immediately.

They put it up so they wouldn't have to vote on Murtha's resolution.

I don't think the Murtha resolution did ... anybody have a link?
