Meet Mean Jean, the Murtha-Trashin' Machine (Rep. Jean Schmidt)
Edited on Sat Nov-19-05 12:39 AM by gauguin57
This is the woman who questioned Vietnam vet congressman John Murtha's integrity and bravery tonight on the House floor.

Ms. Jean was first elected to Congress by special election on AUG. 2 OF THIS YEAR! She's been a congresswoman all of three and a half months, and she's shootin' her mouth off (about stuff she knows nothing about) in the House like any seasoned dumbass Repug! Wow, Jean! Impressive!

From her Web site:
"Congresswoman Schmidt resides in Miami Township with her husband Peter and their daughter Emilie. She holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati and her other interests include auto racing and long distance running. She has completed 56 marathons and still counting."

NASCAR JEAN, the Trash Talkin' Machine!

Jean, keep running your feet, not your mouth. I don't care how many races you've run, you're still obnoxious and insulting.

4. That's the one.
And just think. She has to run again in '06. I hope OH-2 wakes up and realizes what a buffoon they have for a representative.

2. Sure bears a striking resemblance to elastic skin lady in 'Brazil'!
Look at that frozen, plastered smile. Them icy cold eyes tell it all.

3. I guess she didn't plan on being in office very long.
This Schmidt character has just given up ANY chance to be re-elected. The irate vets in her district will see to that.

5. When she insulted
Edited on Sat Nov-19-05 12:57 AM by frogmarch
Murtha, apparently the Democrats angrily leaped from their chairs and rushed up the aisle to protest.

I heard this from someone on Olberman (I think that's where) who was in the lobby and saw it happen. He said there was a lot going on that the Cspan cameras didn't catch, and that was one of them.

I am sofa king pissed.

7. I first saw it on Hardball tonight.
I thought I was going to have a stroke! How DARE she? There aren't enought words to describe what a horrible person she is.

I went to OH in August to work for the Hackett campaign. I'll go back next year just to work for whoever runs against this slime.

Murtha is my congressman, and I am pissed!

10. No shit. :( Thank you for campaigning. I hope Hackett gets in,
although I believe a pile of dog droppings would make a better Representative than this Schmidt woman.

14. Rep. Harold Ford was one of them
Edited on Sat Nov-19-05 01:16 AM by VolcanoJen
CBS News

The fiery, emotional debate climaxed when Rep. Jean Schmidt, R-Ohio, the most junior member of the House, told of a phone call she received from a Marine colonel.

"He asked me to send Congress a message _ stay the course. He also asked me to send Congressman Murtha a message _ that cowards cut and run, Marines never do," Schmidt said.

Democrats booed and shouted her down _ causing the House to come to a standstill.

Rep. Harold Ford, D-Tenn., charged across the chamber's center aisle screaming that it was an uncalled for personal attack. "You guys are pathetic. Pathetic," yelled Rep. Marty Meehan, D-Mass.
