Has anyone ever asked Congress how oil corps repay us for oil wars?

Thomas Friedman said before the war that it would drive down the price of crude, so however immoral it was, there was at least an economic rationale for the whole country.

Instead, the war has effectively tightened the supply of oil, and companies are reaping record profits.

It seems like the only thing the war accomplished, at best, is replacing Russian and French oil companies with American ones in Iraq. If those other countries were pumping the oil, would they really want to cut off the number one consumer?

I'm having a hard time seeing what we as a whole are getting in return for our tax dollars spent on not just the war, but the decades of spending backing those dictators and overthrowing democratically elected governments who got too uppity.

Did we get ANYTHING?

besides those nations who produce/subsidize it.

4. they don't repay us- not directly anyway...

they repay the congressmen for us.
