He was gone in August of 1974 and it was in Feb-March-April of 1975 when the last US troops and the embessay personnel left Saigon.

It took him 6 1/2 years to end the Vietnam War. And Nixon had a plan! That's what he said in his 1968 campaign, and in his 1972 campaign.
