you mean I've been doing this for free all this time?

Tho I'm not in her district, I should still send her a bill.

The chief sponsor of Georgia's voter identification law told the Justice Department that if black people in her district "are not paid to vote, they don't go to the polls," and that if fewer blacks vote as a result of the new law, it is only because it would end such voting fraud.

The son of an influential Augusta lawmaker is in the Richmond County Jail on child molestation charges.

William Wesley Burmeister, 23, of Clayton County was arrested in an aggravated child molestation case Wednesday afternoon, said Richmond County sheriff's Maj. Ken Autry.

Burmeister is the eldest of four children of Rep. Sue Burmeister (R-Augusta).

The lawmaker, a conservative Christian, has carried some of the Republican Party's most important legislation, including HB 188, requiring the publication of photographs of convicted sex offenders in local newspapers. Burmeister ushered that bill to final passage Thursday.

snip....

Wesley Burmeister is accused of molesting a girl, now 16, over a period of nine years, officials said.

5. Wonder if she'll keep her son's pic out of the paper?
Course, her picture needs to be in the papers - the winner of the Miss Jim Crow pageant: Sue Burmeister - complete with her hooded crown.

7. She says,
"These are still allegations," Sue Burmeister said at the Capitol. "There's factfinding that needs to be done. He obviously wants the facts to come out."

Then accuses all blacks in her district of election fraud without a shred of evidence. Crazy-assed hypocrites, all of them.

9. Many child molesters were themselves molested as children.

Just sayin'.
Most child molesters are members of the family or close friends.

2. Oh that hurts my heart
Nothing I could say could possibly express the horror I feel at that statement. What the hell has happened to this country. Pure madness has been unleashed.

6. Old, Old Right-wing Meme--Minorities Are Paid To Vote
The idea that minorities are either paid to go to the polls or that their votes are literally paid for is an old, old right-wing meme going back to well before the civil rights era. I remember hearing it from at least one extreme right-wing babysitter my parents hired during that time period (No, my parents did NOT share said baby-sitter's views), and it looks like right-wingers are still trotting the same old lie out to this day.

Every so often, right-wingers claim that their voter ID proposals aren't really racist. If so, why are they still parroting the same old lies their right-wing racist predecessors were using not so long ago?

10. So is this woman a witness to a crime?
Certainly she would have proof of this alleged vote buying. Has she reported this to the authorities? As a public official isn't she obliged to stop illegal acts? A letter to the editor of her home town seems in order. What a scum!!!!!
