It's coming kids....the escalation, then the shouting..next
the pushing and shoving.

Although I was too young to particpate in the Vietnam protests, I see where all this is going. Civility is THIN right now...very thin. Thin enough that everyone ought to be thinking about what happens when that membrane collapses.

Are you all ready for what is to come? I am...my husband is...we KNOW...we absolutely are convinced, that soon, it will be in the streets, hard, heavy and it WON'T be pretty.

Are you all ready?

8. No, I am referring to the general feelings of this country, currently
being reflected in the House.

And, I would not be surprised in ANY way if a pushing match happens the...it would be the appropriate/expected place (not in the Senate)

Nothing's gonna happen. Not on the street. People don't give a shit, really. Most people.

This isn't France.

13. They started it
The goosesteppers must be stopped lest they wrap the cold right-hand around civilization further.

With that said, Let non-violent peace prevail, Fight!

18. The shit's about to hit the fan
I had a deju-vu just now while reading a post concerning Murtha. This means that all the shit I envisioned associated with that deja-vu is in motion NOW. I can't remember all the specifics, but some serious political leading to social unrest is about to happen...

21. I was yelled at by a co-worker this week. "Stop talking politics."
The war is already on. This is a mousy woman who would normally not ever offer a strong opinion of any kind. She lost it on me. This is unhinging GOP loyalists and lots of clueless followers. We're losing our faith in our country and we're not gonna be quiet about it.

Finally, people are taking this war personally.

23. When I protest with Code Pink every Wednesday night
we find more and more positive feedback. Lots of honks, peace signs and waves. BUT, the ones who do shout at us are getting meaner. What started months ago as a boo or a thumbs down has now become really nasty remarks, and cars driving closer to us.
It is a little scary at times but we are all committed and will not ever stop...until this 'war' stops.
