2. problem is - as there always is - some dems will vote with gop
a totally united action (present vote, leaving the chamber) is not possible.

5. Not of late...
last nites and yesterday's votes were 100%, along with Jim Jeffords and a handful of republicans. This could turn into something sweet.

6. house versus senate
not sure what you were watching last nite but it sounds like the senate. there are lots of conservative house dems who will vote with gop on this one - watch.

but a progressive democrat organization is now sending out emails urging us to call our reps and vote no on Murtha. Isn't this ultimately what the Republicans want and are we not, then, playing into their hands? tsk,tsk,tsk....
