I had to sit in a waiting room this morning, where Fox News was playing on the TV. I came to an unpleasant realization. I just saw that I can go over a year between watching that sad video-news version of Pravda, and see the exact same story playing. I swear, it's on an endless loop.

Prove me wrong.

Clinton. UN. France. God. Guns. Gays. The Fox News Mantra is still alive and well. It must be nice to have the cause of all the worlds problems each and every minute of each and every day.

Pay no mind to the obscene war profiteering being done by people like Randy Cunningham, and companies like Halliburton. It does not matter that those profits are soaked in the blood of our young men and women sent thousands of miles from home, and thrust into a strange environment, against an enemy they can't identify. Just listen to how they are all volunteers and want to be there, even though the majority of Fox listeners will not go near a recruiters office.

Ignore the bill that just passed in the middle of the night last night that made permanent the tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy top 5%. Mind you they could not cut the money going into the Iraqi black hole to do so, they made broad sweeping cuts in Medicaid, food stamps and student loan subsidies for we the people in the United States instead. Hmm. Student loan subsidies. So much for "y'all need to pull yerselves up by yer own bootstraps, and go back to skool insted of komplanin about yer job goin to china."

Just look the other way, as official DOD war casualties hit 15477, and deaths climb to 2085. You don't want to hear that anyway, you want to hear how the liberal media keeps the good news from the middle east from you.

Just keep your eye on what is important, like Robert Blake, Michael Jackson, and the missing blond of the week. You don't need to know what is happening, especially if you are a farmer, and just had your subsidies cut.

4. Recently,

the father of a friend died. I have known her for what amounts to my entire life - I was 2 when we first met - and so therefore had known her dad for approximately 5 mintues less so I wanted to pay my respects. After the funeral we went out to dinner. The party consisted of my friend, her 2nd husband, his son from his first marriage, her daughter and her husband and my daughter and myself. During dinner my friend was telling about being at the hospice with her dad and was complaining that they didn't have Faux News. She then turned to her husband, who was scheduled to have some minor surgery the next week and told him that she really hoped the surgery center he was going to would have Faux because if it didn't, she wasn't going to hang around and wait for him to come out of the anesthetic - she'd wait at home for them to call her to pick him up. Everyone laughed, but I'm not so sure it was a joke. Faux News - ugh, what a joke.
