1. Any word on what time this will happen?
I hope it's not during Countdown.

7. Thanks, Sydnie,
I'm going to leave work early in a few minutes, so should get to see most of it. I'll be home before 5.

3. The debate starting right now
1 hour to decide if the vote happens, then one hour on the vote itself.

So probably around 7pm

5. Why would they walk out? Why not simply vote for the pullout?
Maybe I am naive, but if the dems vote for the Murtha iniciative and repugs don't, wouldn't that make a better statement than a walkout?

9. not really ... they are being forced to debate this issue
without a real chance to debate and discuss the merits. This is a push me/ pull me situation. They are being cornered into a dmaned if they do and damned if the don't situation.

I mean, one hour to debate something so important as this ... how fair and honest is that?

Ed Markey is giving them hell right now on the floor. If we think last nignt was hot ... that was the pre-show to tonights show.

How I wish for a "Jefferson Smith" to appear there tonight and pull and old fashioned filibuster!

11. Vote
Our guys better not shrink now. We know this is a stunt, but let's make it backfire. If we vote in near unison and pick up a few wobbly pubbies, we might take the vote and push Bush back on his right wing ass.

If we look wobbly, then it will dilute the message that Bush lied to start all this crap. We have them own their heels and need to push them over.

DO IT!

6. Rep Pelosi needs to demand a 'binding resolution' and Murtha needs ...
.... to propose an Amendment to the version being debated with exactly his language and force these jerks to stop playing games with people's lives.

An illegal war is now a civil war. Our troops never should have been forced to fight the illegal war. They certainly have zero reason to be dying in someone else's civil war.

Peace.
