About 'containing the USSR and China's nuke capabilities'. We promised to help the Russians get rid of their nukes, but then renegged during the 90s saying it would cost too much. So what's wrong with behing a left-wing liberal? NOTHING! Though I would add a lot of anti-American sentiment also comes from US domestic policies and the increasing control of corporate fascism (which is tied in to our arrogance and sheer hypocrisy. Heck, I've called the US a "Hypocracy" more than once!)
