Republicans Suffer From Bush: Survey USA Map Trending Blue
Republicans Suffer From Bush: US Map Trending Blue

The Survey USA 50-state polling is out for November, as noted before, and it's not good news for Bush in more ways than one. His `base' of strong support has dwindled to a grand total of two states. He is also losing ground among Republicans, notably in the South. And the number of respondents who are identified as Republican is decreasing. Will Bush ruin his own party? Maps and charts below...

http://www.surveyusa.com/50State2005/50StatePOTUS1105SortbyState.htm

The number of Bush Republicans is on the decline nationwide.

One final tidbit: Aggregated nationwide, Bush has steadily lost support among both Conservatives and Pro-Life subsets as well. No bounce from nominating Alito.

1. Bush had the Idaho/Wyoming/Utah area on LOCKDOWN!!!
I think he should really invest more in his base, which seems mostly rooted in these important populations.

17. He should rent a cabin on Ruby Ridge
The final days of his administration could be spent there, shooting it out with Federal law enforcement authorities.

5. It'd be interesting to find out how
much people really care about Abortion in these days. I mean it's not the sort of thing you could take a survey for (because everybody would answer based on what they are supposed to say rather than what they really think). I'm not saying Abortion isn't an important issue; but when you compare it to all of the other stuff going on, particularly Iraq, does it really stay at number one?

7. Virginia is as much a swing state now as Ohio and Florida
and moving in the right (left) direction. Kaine's victory margin wasn't just in NoVa; he carried every Hampton Roads city and 10 of 12 independent cities in the Western half of the state.

Thanks for posting this.

10. Remember the competitive Senate races in '06
Tennessee, Penn, Mo, Arizona, Nevada (hopefully), Montana. All of these are net negative states for Bush right now.
