John Kerry was Amazing and Nuanced on with Tweety...But...
I think he could have been a President in a "different time" when folks weren't "Tech Savy" and didn't KNOW what WE ALL KNOW!

I think Kerry lives in a "gilded palace" of the "old times." I hate to say this...but he seems not to get that one needs to "FIGHT"..."FIGHT" against these "Evil Doer's" ...those who try to call "US" the "Evil Doers."

He's very "Old School Senatorial" and yet he's faced with "In Your Face Partisans who don't understand the words "Hypocracy and Nuance" for their "In Your Face....Cut off your BALLS ..if you DO NOT AGREE WITH US!"...Philosophy.

How does one behave as a "Gentleman" in a world where the word is dirty to those of us on the internet and expect folks to find him "CREDIBLE?"

He's somthing from "another time." and it's "My TIME" and that's why Kerry get's me SO ANGRY!!!! He needed to GROW and RESPECT THE INTERNET!

He DOES NOT SEE US OUT HERE!!!! He does not see us.

2. Um...all of your quote marks kind of weighed that down
What was it Kerry is supposed to have said or not said that betrayed the Internet?

3. I wouldn't want any Senator behaving as if he were on an internet
messageboard.

Nor saying things we want to hear just to pander to us so we'll think he's spiffy.

4. Exactly correct.
The only way to beat these bastards is to be just as "in your face" as they are. Being a nice guy gets you nowhere against the relentless, partisan attack machine of the right.

10. This is why I liked John Edwards...remember how he took on Cheney
in the only debate Cheney would agree to against him. He was sitting shoulder to shoulder with him and looked into the public (camera) and said basically, "this guy is a liar" (in so many words).

20. And remember when Cheney said
that he never met Edwards before? Than that video of them at the prayer breakfast came out and got him. It was great! I loved that.

17. Exactly
Either late last month or earlier this month on the Sundance Channel was the documentary "The War Room" from the 1992 Clinton campaign and they were always in their faces. Whenever they hit something at them they would quickly hit back. I loved it. James Carville and team ran a great campaign and I loved watching him handling the media and everything. I think there are a lot of democrats who have to learn that. I do think Reid has learned that. I remember once way earlier this year he was doing a press conference and told how the republicans were issuing out an "Attack Reid" report of ways to "get" him and he told about it in the very beginning right after they sent it around to all the republicans and I don't think they ever got him. A lot of our democrats need to learn from Reid and James Carville.

but are you sure this is the real world?

I have seen him interact with people and he is extraordinary.

9. yes he is, I have seen him too
I shook his hand actually. But, Kerry doesn't seem to have a killer instinct. He could be a bit more of a fighter in that respect.

6. I serious think I would not vote for any candidate who could meet
your criteria. I want my President to have a sense of decency and to be a gentleman. I think many swing votes he got were because of those qualities.

7. He never did.
I supported Kerry from the get go. Donated wads of cash I now could use and pimped for him mercilessly. But he never did hear us or pay attention to us. Remember all the misteps on the campaign trail. We were a yelling and a hollering on the Kerry website and were not only ignored but censored. Yet if he done much of what was being suggested he would have busted Bush's balls.

I'm not sure any of them care what 'everyman' has to say. Maybe you need to be an arrogant, know it all to run in the first place.

35. You don't KNOW your suggestions would have worked
they could have made it worse. Dean actually was hurt by making statements that were less flamboyant than some of what people suggested Kerry make. Kerry's dignified reasonable persona did let him hit pretty hard.

15. Actually, I think Gore is a pretty amazing talk show guest these days
He seems to have loosened up a lot since the 2000 debacle. Witness any recent performance on Letterman or SNL.

I still think he'd win in a landslide if he ran again in 2008.

27. I honestly believe that
I think voters would perceive him as a way to sort of correct the folly of the Bush presidency -- set history back on its proper path, so to speak.

His intelligence and interest in the environment, technology, diplomacy and the working class would be a godsend in the environment we're dealing with these days. I could forsee him spearheading an initiative to develop a true alternative energy source -- and actually getting it done. He could be one of the greats, a Jefferson, a Lincoln or an FDR.

when they do we pick them apart for not saying things the way we would want them to.

We like a good dog and pony show around here, but folks don't wanna hear when something good is accomplished half the time. Too wonky.

And what's with all the balls stuff with men, anyway? It's not like you have to deliver children through them or something.

I mean you don't hear us going around saying "Damn! She has labia!" Or "you know, she just doesn't have enough labia!"

I am so sick of hearing "balls! balls! balls! balls!" all the freaking time. What is this, Christmas? Why are some people so obsessed with their manhood? The next person that says one of our Dems has no balls I will automatically assume has a very tiny member.

But y'know...helluva uterus that Barbara Boxer has, eh? :7

Mmmmmm...ice cream connnnnnne. Now that sounds good!

I like that he can speak a complete sentence off the cuff and has a vocabulary that includes nuance and hypocrisy...

We have a president presently who cuts balls off. I don't admire that but I am thinking you are referring to something other than that?

18. Kerry should have said these statements when running but
we all know the media would let it slide and get back to the Swiftboaters......the media really did hurt Kerry..........they took his words and twisted the crap out of them...when a Democrat tried to un spin the spin.....they were always cut off........we all know this

as for tonight.I think Kerry told exactly what he thought about bush and cheney.. especially about the Veterans day speech...........as long as he keeps up his pressure on this administration..others will join....as we have already seen

32. kerry used and uses the internet as a main source to communicate
with us. and he certainly listened to us, from interenet. i saw wee effectly helped, suported him to make d=some choices. like when his mike picked up the crooks and liars.......

we all yelled DONT APOLOGIZE

he was about to. was inching to it. and man, wham, no no no we yelled, and he heard. saw it a couple times thru his campaign. and it was the best times for him when he did

yes, he is the old schooled senator. the gentleman. that is what pissed me off so. the "people" said they wanted that type of race, and kerry gave it, yet he didnt get credit for it. whenever the repugs were dirty msm would include both dems and repug in being dirty even though kerry refused to be

33. I guess he's who he is...and maybe the thought was that picking Edwards
would "loosen him up" a bit. It didn't quite work that way. But, I do believe Kerry/Edwards won.

But then, I know for sure Al Gore won. It's just that it's not overwhelming enough that the machines can't in very selected precincts and counties hack the vote. And the Repugs have it all down to a science as to which states and which counties to do their dirty work in.
And where they don't hack the vote the redistricting has made it impossible for any Dem to win.

It is what it is....there's so much to clean up. But, if only Kerry/Edwards could see what's happened now and give us help ...those of us who are working so hard on voting issues and state redistricting grassroots efforts. But...we are always back burner and the War Support cost us alot...that Kerry/Edwards wouldn't come out against.
