shrubs next scandal, I hope.
From http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A27000-2003Oct14.html

For Their Efforts, Fundraisers Also Gain

“On Wall Street, major Bush fundraisers include Stan O'Neal of Merrill Lynch & Co., …; Stephen M. Lessing of Lehman Brothers Inc…; Joseph Grano and James P. MacGilvray of UBS Paine Webber…; John J. Mack of Credit Suisse First Boston…; and James E. Cayne of Bear Stearns Cos”

And from http://www.stockbroker-fraud.com/fundscandal.htm

” The trouble came Wednesday when New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer charged that major mutual fund companies pump up profits… The full extent of this complicated fraud is not yet known," Spitzer said. But one thing is clear: The mutual fund industry operates on a double standard. Certain companies and individuals have been given the opportunity to manipulate the system."

2. I don't hope for another scandal.
America has had enough scandals. We don't need another one.

3. That's very idealistic of you
But I think you're confusing "hoping for a scandal" and "hoping the truth about scandalous behavior is revealed." Every one of these stories that comes to light is hope for the future, because it means that, despite the laziness/bias of much of the media, and despite the best efforts of the Bush administration, the can not be concealed forever.

4. What scandals are you referring to that has America so fatigued?
If it is Clinton's supposed numerous scandals I wonder where your head has been these last ten years or so. If it is Bush*'s scandals, I'm curious which ones you are referring to.

6. You're serious, you don't know any of Bush's scandals?
God help us. Well, let's start with the 2000 election pilferage, then their is 9-11gate, Iraqgate, Leakgate, Enrongate. Should I go on? Or have you been out of the country the past three years.

7. You really don't know what scandals have continually come from Bushco?
That's hard to believe. You have more than 1,000 posts and you certainly couldn't have missed them being on these boards. Are you suggesting that the media is not biased in favor of the right?

8. I remember reading recently...
and I wish I could remember where, that Bush is attempting to change the law and take the power out of the hands of state attorney generals to investigate and prosecute stock market criminals and give it to the SEC. Does anyone else remember reading about this and if so, do you have a link? Perhaps that's why Spitzer said, "Certain companies and individuals have been given(by whom??} the opportunity to manipulate the system."
