From the North Platte (Nebraska) Bulletin: Saying he didn’t have a “smidgen” of sympathy for people like Rush Limbaugh but sympathy for people like the defendant, a Lincoln County Judge sentenced a woman who was addicted to prescription drugs to probation.Lincoln County District Judge John Murphy said in court Monday it was terrible when people get hooked on prescription drugs.
Murphy was sentencing Debra K. Murray-Nelson, aka Debra K. Bales and Debra K. Murray. She had pleaded no contest and was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance.

Blaine Gillett, Murray-Nelson’s attorney, said his client had been on probation out of Red Willow County and had tested clean for nearly a year now. He said she now worked for the State of Nebraska and loved her job.
Murphy said the court was sympathetic with Murray-Nelson but that he “couldn’t have a smidgen of sympathy for people like Rush Limbaugh.”
