7. My point is that unless Americans get involved and informed
( and I consider c-span a primary source for news and information with regard to government) we are going to keep ending up with administrations like the one we are saddled with now

We should advocate to our friends and neighbors that they start to add c-span as part of their regular viewing

All kidding aside, the Span is the Bomb.

I could watch it all the time. Well, almost.

5. Home most of the day today c-span on
until about 6pm. Yes, I'm what you'd consider a regular. I do get your point. The American attention span is more suited to "Fear Factor" or Jerry Springer.

8. I tune in at least three or four times a week....
I don't watch network television, no cop shows or reality bullshit.
I can only take CNN and MSNBC in very small doses.
If there is no sporting event on that interests me, I tune into CSPAN or I watch something I have Tivo'd.

How many others watch?
How many of the 300 million Americans tune in?

I'm thinking 50 for every one hundred thousand Americans.
And, I'm being generous.

I don't think that half of America even knows what CSPAN even is.
I think they would confuse it with CNN.

American Idiot indeed.

12. at least once a day for 20 years
I had to get a new TV about 7 years ago because the CSPAN logo was so permanently burned into the picture tube that it was very distracting when you were watching something else.

When I found out late one night (in abt 1995) that our local cable company was going to cut CSPAN, I spent the night on-line learning abt satellite dishes and, three days later, had become a Dish customer.

I've been known to call motels in cities I will be visiting to ask if they have CSPAN on their TVs. If they don't and I can find someone else who does, you know where I stay. I almost always leave a motel TV on C-SPAN and, once (just once), I checked in and was shocked to turn on the TV and find it on C-SPAN.

Now, anyone know how we can get Dish TV to carry CSPAN3?

13. Cable never carried it
In the last 4 states I lived in. CSPAN was not available on the cable service.
Now I only get CNN and FOX. No CNBC, no MSNBC and no CSPAN.
Way too many sports channels and shopping channels. Yes, I called the cable company, they said they can't get advertisers for them, ratings are too low.

17. I tend not to watch programming that I find offensive
Besides watching Fox News or CNN, a Republican on C-SPAN is probably the easiest way to make me angry while watching TV.

18. every day if I can...I'm addicted to it...
except for switching over to see Democracy Now!, and occasionally other news shows, or documentaries.
But I love my CSPAN. I watch the Senate more than the House, usually. I try to never miss Washington Journal.

How do you know you're addicted to CSPAN? When you realize you've been watching a quorum call for an hour!

20. I don't count as a US citizen but I watch on my computer several
times a week. I was watching Kerry today give his speech and thought wouldn't it be nice to have a President who could actually speak in complete sentences.

21. I watch it every day
Particularly the call in interviews before the Senate and House open for business or should I say folly.

I find the people calling in are a hoot. Some are really up to date on what's going on. Other are prisoners of their own click's propaganda.

I particularly like to hear what conservatives have to say when they call in on the liberal line. They are very entertaining.

C-Span is where you get the straight stuff. I've canceled my subscription to the local newspaper; it's all adds and old news. on unimportant matters.

Stopped listening to the local and national news - they keep repeating tragic events. It's ok to hear it once but to see and hear the same thing at 6:00 a.m. 12 noon, 5:00 O'Clock, 6:O0 O'Clock and 10:00 o'clock is reticules. There seems to be more commercials than true news. The commercials exceeds the amount of new being broadcast.

It appears corporate American is dummying down US Citizens. They are in the business of selling adds' and attempting to perpetrate a consumer society.

Yes! C-span is where it's at.

As for me, I spent my ill-begotten youth on Warner Bros. cartoons, can you tell?

Actually, I watch CSPAN way more than I used to, but not nearly as much as I should.
