What will be the downfall of the neocons?
When will people like Rove, Norquist, Delay et al cease to be relevant in this country? Is this their shining moment?Or are we doomed to forever fight off Scaiffe funded think tanks, dirty tricks squads, media manipulation and the like? Questions, questions.....

3. The lead singer of Sublime said it best
"We only die from our own Arrogance"

I really believe it'll be the arrogance
that turns people off .

10. psst.
It's a Bad Religion song covered by Sublime but prescient nonetheless

Early man walked away as modern man took control.
Their minds weren't all the same, to conquer was his goal,
So he built his great empire and slaughtered his own kind,
Then he died a confused man, killed himself with his own mind.
Go!
We're only gonna die from our own arrogance.

4. In 2027, when George P, "Caligula" Bush imposes burrito tags
All burritos consumed will have to be lawfully tagged with the crest of the Imperial Family. The final bite of burrito and only the final bite of burrito will free the tag, which will then be turned in to a designated Burrito Tag Drop Area.

</sarcasm off>

Seriously...the Busheviks are NEVER going away. Even if 2004 isn't the Stalinist farce I think it is going to be...these peopel are never going away.

And Goebbels v2.0 will keep them loyal and "fired up".

"Adolf builds a nonfire, Rush Limbaugh plays with it."

5. I was just wondering

if there were any cultural changes taking place that neutralize people like that. The emerging Democratic majority and all that. What I'm trying to find out is when does the pendulum swing back to our side?

7. I sure don't see any big cultural changes, except
more to the right. Seems like a lot of people around me love the idea of the Big Daddy Repukes taking 'care' of them. I can see them getting worked over by their repuke idols, and they think it's Clinton. They think Reagan was 'a smart man' even thoough it was obvious to the rest of us he was senile when he was in office. They think if their religion was forced on everyone, the world would be a better place because their God is right, you know.

I could go on and on, but why? We are fighting the worst enemy there ever was -- complete and total ignorance plus 30 years of total brainwashing. It's amazing we have anybody who can even function.

11. The ghastly and bloody failure of their policies
It's starting, but it will take a long time for them to finish destroying what is left of our country. Since they have the media behind them to cover up and excuse their failures, it will take longer for them to fall.

12. That what I'm afraid of too, Jacobin.
But in last 2 weeks there has been quite a few upper miltary editorials pointing out how *'s "plan" is unworkable.

I think there is quite a bit of distaste for Rummy's overreaching and the Administration's recklessness being expressed "behind the scenes" although it's hard to gauge how much.

There were a few resigning (State Dept)in protest early on, but I think many have thought better of it (the Pentagon too) and decided no to voluntarily acquiesce to Rummy's purges.

17. That's a good start.
Get korporate $$ out of the political process. Otherwise we have too much of repug and repug lite. Abolishing korporate personhood is something that must be done. But how?

14. What did it take to stop fascism in WWII?
I think the neo-cons are fascists.

Therefore, I look at history to try and find an answer to your question.

What was it that stopped Adolf and his Italian and Japanese pals? The answer I come up with is: Nations who wanted democracy banded together to fight the dictators.

Today, the Bush junta has pretty much started the uniting of the world against the USA. (Just my opinion.)

Again, in my opinion, America needs to be liberated from the democracy destroying neo-cons (fascists) that prop up the brainless chimp.

16. When the failures start impacting the wealthy, or when they
become too big and ugly for the press to paint happy faces on, they'll turn on the Bush gang. As much as they'd like to continue the attacks on the lower/middle classes, they'll stop if it means actually waking those people up.
