O’Reilly Responds: “What I Said Needed to Be Said."
Appearing yesterday on a conservative San Francisco radio show, Bill O’Reilly offered his first public comments since being criticized for saying he would approve of an al Qaeda terrorist attack on the California city.

O’Reilly not only stood by his comments, but claimed they “needed to be said”:

"I mean, look, everybody knows what’s going on there. What I said isn’t controversial. What I said needed to be said. I’m sitting here and I’m looking at a city that has absolutely no clue about what the world is. None. You know, if you had been hit on 9/11 instead of New York, believe me, you would not have voted against military recruting. Yet the left-wing, selfish, Land of Oz philosophy that the media and the city politicians have embraced out there is an absolute intellectual disgrace."

1. So, if I went up to you, Bill, and decked you in your smug, arrogant face,
could I say "It needed to be done" and get away with it?

2. Fuck him.
I live and work in the same damn city, and very few of us are the type of right-wing scum O'Reilly wants to depict us as.

I've lived and worked in San Francisco and New York City. Both are fucking beautiful cities and both deserve respect and love. That this bastard would invite a terrorist attack upon a city simply because of a political decision he disagrees with his absolutely disgusting.

I wouldn't invite Al Qaida to attack Salt Lake City or Colorado Springs, no matter how much I disagree with them.

O'Reilly's not a real New Yorker and not a real American. he is a disgrace.

3. O'Reilly, what I'M saying needs to be said
You are nothing but a cheap thug and a traitor. You'd sell out your oldest friends, your wife, and your child to the terrorists at the drop of a hat. By encouraging al-Qaeda to hit SF, you're encouraging them to hit America.

Leave. Now.

as an effective target for terrorism and it needed to be said. :sarcasm:

5. Ah, the Cheney apology.
"I expressed myself rather forcefully, felt better after I had done it," Cheney told Neil Cavuto of Fox News. The vice president said those who heard the putdown agreed with him. "I think that a lot of my colleagues felt that what I had said badly needed to be said, that it was long overdue."

yo O'Reilly...you are a fucking asshole.

They do know...as pointed out in the Flight 93 thread...2 of those planes were on the way to SF.

10. "Oh, for another time, a distant field..."
And there a mortal warrior's lonely grave
But duty charges me remain until
The end the last battle of the last war
Until that morrow render unto me
That which is mine my stipend well deserved
The fairest flower of your progeny
Your sons, your daughters, your hopes and your dreams
The cruel consequence of your conceit

7. Something else that needs to be said
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

It seems to me that advocating an attack on one of our cities on television just might fit that definition.

8. New Yorkers aren't the right-wing cowards BO says we are.
He doesn't speak for this city. As a person, he doesn't even deserve to live and work here. I personally take the guilty pleasure in flipping off the Newscorp building whenever I'm around Times Square. I'd love to meet him someday and tell him off.

He's probably a limosine conservative that doesn't take the subway, doesn't walk around the city, doesn't do anything but get driven between his big home and his work. Fuck him. He doesn't get New York any more than he gets San Francisco.

14. So then allow me to say what needs to be said:
Bill O'Reilly, you are a traitorous piece of shit scumbag who doesn't deserve to call himself an American. I don't even think you deserve to be called "human." You are SLIME, that's all, SLIME.

You INVITED a terrorist organization to MAKE AN ATTACK ON AN AMERICAN CITY.

I don't give a shit WHAT you think of the politics of people in San Fransisco.

I don't give a shit WHAT you think of whether military recruiters can recruit on campus in San Fransisco.

YOU INVITED A TERRORIST ATTACK ON THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA. There is no excusing that, there is no explaining that, there is no two ways of INTERPRETING that.

San Fransiscans, see, live in AMERICA. Therefore, you INVITED TERRORISTS TO ATTACK AMERICA.

You piece of shit. You motherfucking piece of shit.

And let's say Al-Queda says "ok, thanks for the invitation!" and blows up a bomb or two in San Fransisco, killing innocent Americans? Children, old people, pregnant women, fire fighters, police officers, people working at their jobs and living their lives?

WOULD THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY, YOU SON OF A BITCH? WOULD YOU DANCE A LITTLE DANCE OF JOY BECAUSE AMERICANS WERE KILLED, YOU SUPREME ASSHOLE?

I'm serious, if there were any justice in this country, inviting a terrorist organization to attack an American city ON AIR would be grounds for an immediate knock on the door from some alphabet agencies.

You JUST don't do that. You don't.

19. If Al Franken had invited Al-Queda to attack Houston,
the reich wing would have had him strung up in the nearest tree by day's end.

But O'Terrorist can invite Al-Queda to attack San Fransisco and he just says "I said what needs to be said?"

I say Al-Queda can come get HIS nasty ass.

34. The only way to really accomplish that is to get people to stop watching
him and listening to him.

Don't support his advertisers, and make sure they know why you won't.

Convince friends and family who listen that he's a perv and a traitor who thinks that some Americans -- only certain ones, mind you -- deserve to be exterminated (gee, doesn't that remind you of a time when a certain blowhard thought some Germans deserved . . . you get my drift). An extremist, beyond the pale. A guy who never served getting in a lather about people who don't want recruiters in their faces. Etc.

22. "Intellectual Disgrace"?
Oh, O'Reilly. Standing by comments that he doesn't care if Americans are attacked by terrorists is both ridiculous and shows that HE is the disgrace (and lacks any intellect).

At least he is becoming more Pat Robertson-like everyday, which though evil makes it less likely for people to take him seriously.

Edited on Mon Nov-14-05 05:57 PM by Tactical Progressive
Guess you've shown us what Republican 'patriotism' really means, Bill. We'll be sure to point that out from now on.

And you'd better start praying today that they don't do what you've asked them to do, because everyone will realize who incited the attack should it happen. Pray hard - it won't be good for you at all, you treasonous right-winger.

I mean, using his philosophy of how we deal with people we disagree with, I am pretty much in my right to go punch him in the face and say "it needed to be done".

I am also in my right to direct criminals to his whereabouts - this is also permitted in the O'Pervert game of "winner take all"

Cool with me bro. Thanks O'Liely!
