Where did you find that link, article, information? How many times has the answer been "Democratic Underground." This is the best, smartest, funniest, most informative place in cyberland, and my (wish it was more!) donations are nothing but a huge bargain in exchange for what I get for the money.

2. I think we're like a big self-help and support group

Whaen I see a big news item, I can't wait to comment on it or see what my fellow DU'er have posted about it. There's always a surprise.

And during this membership drive, look around for those long term posters without a star and anonymously reward them. That's what happened to me and I intend to pass it forward for this pledge drive.

4. I Know A Family Who Has A Missing (Katrina) Family Member

The wife has submitted DNA samples and I've been thinking "well, no news is good news" and then I read here the NYT article saying NOBODY has been matched with DNA....the media has dropped Katrina victims completely but I did find my answer here, in this case, it really PISSED ME OFF...but still it's good to know.
