I don't have to explain the reasons to most of you, but I will give you some of mine. DU is where I start and end my day on the computer. It is always open, though often minimized. It is the best compilation of news and opinion anywhere. There are many great, brilliant people here (even in the Lounge). The #1 reason that you should donate right now if you can is that the freeptards had a freep-a-thon not too long ago. It lasted weeks and they ended up having to justify every dime that they were ripping people off for. It doesn't cost all that much to run a pre-1995 looking message board. DU is innovative, usable and useful. It's the #1 progressive-liberal-democratic-left forum on the Internets. So please, make a donation sooner rather than later. Show the freeptards and the Internets that DU is working hard.

6. I have donated every quarter but one

since I got here. I have made up for it by donating twice a few times. To me, it's worth the money. It's like buying a newspaper, or a book, or a magazine, only better. If you pay for AOL, MSN, etc. then this is a no brainer.

Both of us love to come see the newest, hottest crap going on in D.C. , watching the *tard and double headed dick crumble right before our eyes. We have made a promise to ourselves and to all of you here that as soon as we are doing better we will donate to this GREAT cause. We have made a few friends, shared many laughs, and spit coffee all over the place looking at certain pics.

21. Ya know, I am thinking about sending my usual 25.00 in cash and it got me

to thinking about the 'old days'...when we would pay our electric bill with cash and postage stamps. The bills would be like $10.35 and we would put in a ten dollar bill plus ten 3 cent stamps and 5 penny stamps, cause NO ONE sent CHANGE through the mail. Then the utility bills started telling everyone DO NOT SEND STAMPS...then DO NOT SEND CASH...so now EVERY ONE MUST have a bank account if one has electricity. MY how times have changed..and not necessarily for the good...there IS good, of course, but some things makes me long for the 'good old days'! Of course now we would have to send 10 twenties to pay for our electric bill.
