Effective Wal-Mart action
Seen a bunch of threads on the "Leave Your Cart" stuff. But instead of engaging in some flash in the pan stupidity, why not do something worthwhile?

Join www.wakeupwalmart.com. Adopt a Wal-Mart in your community. Take some actions that may be effective, instead of engaging in Stupid Human Tricks.

There are several resources available online for understanding the harm caused to communities and workers by Walmart, and for engaging oneself in the battle:

walmartwatch:
WalMart vs Women
WakeUpWalMart
The WalMart You Don't Know
Boycott WalMart
AFL-CIO - Paying the Price at WalMart
WalMart Workers Canada

If this issue means as much as it seems to for many here, leave the shopping carts alone. Educate yourself, friends, family, co-worker, and neighbor about the abuses and the problem will take care of itself.

4. It's more difficult to do something positive than a simple trick though.
Much better, but more difficult, to be positive than negative. Good idea.

6. How about working to change the federal policies that Walmart
works under lawfully?

Work to Raise the minimum wage.

Work for single payer health care.

Work for government policies to keep jobs in THIS country.

Work to raise the standard of living for ALL Americans, not just Walmart clerks.
