Truly interesting... not just taking him on his word - they actually present stuff to show his word ain't all he thinks it is! CNN?

Doing something that almost resembles journalism? Fact checking?

wow....

could the tide really be turning at last?

1. They are toast!
As has been said...u can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but u cannot fool all of the people all of the time...and the people now are angry that they have been fooled at all, but they go on...spewing the same old lies..like it might work again, but it wont...the strange thing to me..is that they just dont seem to get it, that they are toast.

4. Why do they keep using the same old lying, bullying tactics--
Even when those methods stop working?

Well, those are the only tactics they have. What else can they do? Obviously telling the truth would just make things worse. When intimidation stops working, and that's all you know how to do, then your only recourse is to try to get meaner, to tell even more outrageous lies, and try to more severely threaten and punish anyone who refuses to go along with them.

2. That's a pretty good article.
We should write congratulations letters to them and tell them to keep up that type of work in order to regain their 'trusted' reputation.

Ooops...except I can't find their "contact us" link.

I think also more important is if they are doing this on the tv since people tend to watch tv more than read the news. Plus, the last time I watched the msm they still had a lock-down (blackout) on giving Kerry fair media without their negative propaganda. So they're still afraid of telling the truth about powerful and honest people on our side.

So IMO they're still propaganda!

3. Amazing that something like this even gets notice
Its their job. This is what they are supposed to do.

But the bar has been set so low that it has now become striking and noteworthy when they actually do their job.

Normally, the media's practice as of late is to just take Bush and the Republicans at their word, and just print the lies. Republican lies get equal weight to the truth.

For some reason, somewhere along the line the media got it into their collective minds that to dispute and refute BS (aka, factcheck) would be considered unfair.

If you get a Republican on who just spouts out lies and bullshit, you just have to let him talk. Otherwise, if you call him on it, or even say "that's not entirely true", you get called biased.

5. Here's my FAVORITE part:
"Democrats responded immediately -- and angrily -- to Bush's comments."

Good to see it happening, and even better to see it acknowledged, and highlighted, in stories like this. It was because we DIDN'T see much of either of these that got us into this mess to begin with.
