I cannot believe DU members are pushing Bill Richardson for President
Here is a guy who followed Newt Gingrich around like a little puppy dog while pushing for NAFTA, GATT, WTO, and just about everything else those scumbags wanted. Do you not remember 1993? Do you not forget the biggest mistake the Democrats made in the 1990s? Enough Democrats jumped in bed with Clinton and the repukes to royally fuck unions and working people - most of them loyal Democratic voters.

These Democrats put personal campaign funds and corporate interests above the party, the American people, and the truth. Wake up!!!!

14. Really, I didn't know that. I am hoping to get out of Houston TX
We would be moving to Farmington. My husband may have a job there at San Juan College.

I don't speak Spanish...yet. A few words here and there. I will have to learn then eh.

15. Nah, English is spoken here widely.
And I was raised in Texas. You might want to keep your TX pride/affiliation a little quiet in NM: Lots of folks here northwards in the state don't appreciate (loud, obnoxious, tourist-y) Texans. ;-)

True story: A month after we moved here, still had TX plates on the car, and someone yells from their car at us in Santa Fe: "GO BACK TO TEXAS!"

I got those plates switched out the following week :-)

17. Well, I don't have much Texas pride these days, not for a long
while actually. The state has been taken over by corrupt, criminal types who are fond of big business and fundamentalist, religious extremists...nothing to be proud of. It's kind of sad since I have lived here my whole life and now I see it slipping away.

I know the type though. We have many stupid people here.

Hubby and I have made annual trips to Ruidoso for the last three years and even though it's a touristy town we talked to some locals about the obnoxious Texans who were downright rude in their attitudes; not good when you are the visitor IMHO.

With that big of a number you're bound to find some who support just about anyone. Damn we might even find some who support Zell Miller :puke:

5. NO DINOs
True Democrats will come if we make room for them and refuse to enable Rethug-light nominees.

19. republicans made clear how they respond to compromise.
with john kerry. "weak flip flopper" "can't lead the nation in war". Then in Bush's last speech he tried to bring up his poll numbers by quoting kerry talking about saddams WMD's. Republicans need opposition, its the only effective technique.

9. Its too early anyway
If he runs, I will give him a fair shake just like all the other ones who decide to run. I won't delve too deep into any of them till primary season. 08 seems a long long way off. Now if Gore said he was running my mind would be made up already but since he's not, I will just choose a horse later :)

10. Where is the big push for Richardson?
I don't see it. I see him occasionally mentioned as a VP but never a whole lot of noise for him as President.

He actively pursued destroying evidence in a crime. There wasn't any reason that the voting machines couldn't have been wiped after the questions had been answered and the results verified.
With Democrats like that, why bother?
A crime that cost John Kerry the WH.
One has to wonder why he did that?
Was he in on the "fix"?
