My 1000th post
It took me almost two years to attain old timer status here at DU.com. Alot has changed since my first post. And I will use my post as a rant sounding board. Those who are offended by language please do not read. I am a writer and I believe in using every word we had. As Henry Drummond puts it in Inherit the Wind "There are damned few words anyone ever understands."

I am starting my Master's Degree in January. I turn 27 in January and I have 373 days of sobreity on my 4th attempt. Today, I am looking into the educational field.

When I started my Bachelor's Degree back in the days of the 486 co-processor and the 56K fax modem, we had a much different society. In this day and age, trust is gone. Belief in humanity is gone. Police view the public as future criminals, people look at each other is un-American if their political beliefs are different and politicians think we're stupid. All of us, not some of us.

And the sad thing is, we've become certification crazy and license mania. People need licenses to drive, marry, own a business and cut hair, to name a few. You actually need a FUCKING LICENSE to cut FUCKING HAIR. What the fuck is this???

Not only that, but you need a certification to teach, do computer work, be a personal trainer, work on a car, be a telemarketer at a call center, be a bartender, etc.

What the fuck is this? Does a certification make you that much better? I'm sure there are Historians and Businessmen who can make great teachers, but cannot teach because under the "Every Child Fucked Over" (not the No Child Left Behind), they can't teach because they don't have a certification. They aren't highly qualified. In order to get a job where the average national starting salary is $31,500 dollars, spent the money on the bachelor's degree, then the certification classes, then the money on the CPE to keep their license, the fingerprinting (I'll get to that in a second), the certification exams. . .countless fees and requirements all to be in a profession that is blamed for the destruction of society and be paid terribly to do it.

Sad thing is we're programmed not to trust. I have an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card. . .anyone in Education needs one. Why? I hate people rooting around in my background and NEVER FINDING ANYTHING!!! Can't these fucking bureaucratic shitstains keep a fucking database, update it every year instead of me having to spend $65 dollars for some pencil necked geek bureaucrat to root around in my background for 3 to 4 weeks looking for every reason to deny my application???

Everything has a background check to it. Being a cop, a nurse, a teacher, a CO. . .even the military has a background check. Yet the mother fuckers who pass these laws can be felons, drunk drivers, liars, porno producers and nazis (I'm looking at your Heir Gropenfurhrer) and no one requires a background check on them. Shit, these people can lie about their background and no one cares!!! IF you do, one side or the other will call you the worst things in the world. I even mean that on our side, as well. I'm positive there are skeletons in all these law makers pasts, Democrats and Repiglicans. But these people get into office by lying, and keep their job by lying. Nice system we have!

I was raised to be honest. It has fucked me so many times. I don't know how to lie. I don't know how to mis-represent myself and I have been fucked over because of it. Yet, these mother fuckers lie on a daily, hourly or minute-by-minute and no demands a background check.

Anyone can run for office, which can hurt more people than anything. But only certain people can be teachers??? And these people who are hurting people make laws that hurt more people! WTF???

I believe if cutting hair needs a license, and teacher requires a certification and a background check, then we should require the same for anyone in an elected position or anyone running for an elected position.

We need the "Elected Officials Certification Act." Then, we can root out all the mother fuckers who are fucking us!!!

If you had kids, would you like to feel confidant about their safety while you were off concentrating on making a living?

6. I don't like being assumed I am one
Then having some dickhead bureaucrat going through my background and never finding anything.

I'm tired of some schmuck with a single digit IQ and a double digit income going through something. IT's a privacy issue!
