1. It astounds me that he gets more stupid every time he opens
his piehole.

2. It Really Is Disgusting

3. There was a paranoid flavor
to his presentation today. It stood out more than usual. The American public, which has determined that he was dishonest in leading the country into war, will pick up on this. The pressure is getting to the poor fellow. Saying that those who catch him lying are enemies of the state is pathetic.

4. How Did You Like Ali's Gesture
While I admit I don't know for sure if he meant to smite Bush or not, I have to say it was mightily appropriate.

15. Yesterday, Shrub gave him a medal...
Then DaBlivet made fists and struck a playful boxing stance...

Ali stared at him, and then silently raised his
index finger and made a little circle next to his temple
in the classic "crazy" gesture:

17. Thanks! I see there's nothing wrong with Ali's mind! He knows
a crazy chimp when he sees one!

10. I think that Ali
is really the nicest human being on earth today. He is gentle and kind, and has reached the point of spiritual development where he does not view anyone as an enemy. So I suspect he was mildly amused that George Bush acted more like a giddy teen-ager than as a world leader.

However, for the rest of us, there was something pathetic about Bush's behavior. He lacked dignity. This was Ali, after all .... and no man is faster than the Champ. Ali's gesture was wonderful.

7. Someone on DU called today Bush's "Checker's speech".
And I agree. Today we saw a weakened and exposed liar on the defensive. The fact that he did this on Veteran's Day only makes him look even more crass and self-centered.

11. He channeled Nixon.....
a number of people have commented on that. My favorite was when it was compared to the "I am not a crook" speech.

16. Why do I have the image
of George pacing about the lonely halls of the White House tonight, engaged in animated conversations with a painting of Nixon?

5. Let's not get too hasty ...
... with that 'trial' talk. Perhaps he should be picked up pursuant to the Patriot Act, imprisoned without charge or access to legal counsel, and if the questioning gets 'rough', well, that's what his policies have been advocating for years now.

At this point, something as civilized as a 'trial' is way more than he deserves.

13. Cafferty on THE SITUATION ROOM summed it up well
Veterans' Day was not the appropriate time to do this.

We have never had an honest, open debate on invadinng Iraq. So, what does GWB do, call out Dems on Vets' Day. Shame, shame, shame, georgie boy!
