I had a dream about Ted Kennedy
I don't remember it, exactly, but I (we?) was in trouble and I saw him and called him and he came to rescue me. I am SO sick in the head (or I spend WAY too much time thinking about politics).

He was just wearing a suit; no cape or anything.
I'm racking my brain trying to remember more... danged TV woke me up.

I need to get really drunk or something to kill off some brain cells and cycle in some fresh ones. Jesus... I like T.K., but I don't like him THAT much... fuuuuuuuukkkkk. -JJ

3. You may have been recalling...
...the news story where Kennedy tried to rescue a group of fishermen stranded on some shoals during a storm a few weeks ago. As I recall it, he wasn't able to get his boat far enough in to rescue them, but the Coast Guard came to their aid at about the same time.

7. When I was 15...shortly after Bobby Kennedy's assassination
I had a dream about JFK and RFK. They were in our garage, just sitting peacefully and talking to each other.....the way my father and uncle often would...I could never quite hear them though....I have had the same dream every 2-3 years since then....one day I'll hear what they're saying...and of course I'll share it here......

Edited on Fri Nov-11-05 07:20 PM by pitohui
it might be inspired by the news story the other day where he saw the people on the boat in trouble & tried to save them? anyone remember that one?

10. Maybe you were channeling Mary Jo Kopechne...
...oh, wait, he came to rescue you? Never mind.

Yeah, he's a vocal Dem, but why, exactly, does he get a pass for Chappaquiddick?

11. it's been what 40 years?
let it die, he's done a lot of good

halle berry got hit in the head & wandered off from an accident too, are you hating on her?

when people are in an accident, they do not always know what is going on around them or what they are doing, be glad you've never been in that situation frankly

13. 36 years, actually, and he had a pass from the beginning.
I'm glad he's done some good, but if he were a Repub, people here would still be squawking about it (like they do about Pickles).

Available evidence shows that he was probably drunk. His family connections preserved his career. Seems plenty of people here squawk about drunk Repubs with family connections, too (Bush).

I'm just saying that here, as everyplace else, there's a double standard. We're a lot more forgiving of Dems than we are of Repubs.

15. I think that is in part true but probably just more forgiving in general
especially towards someone who it seems has tried to do some good.

12. well in Laura's case
there was no one to "rescue". Too late, car accident they say.

I really don't care about Chappaquiddick. The good this fine Senator has done is beyond most I've seen in my lifetime.

To have dreams about him or the deceased brothers is a sign - a sign of hope I think.

"To have dreams about him or the deceased brothers is a sign - a sign of hope I think."

That was actually a pretty cool thing to say. Thanks. -JJ
