So she gets hate mail. Does she think she is special and should not get hate mail? Why on Earth would she think she should complain about getting hate mail. As the op mentioned DU gets hate mail all the time. Furthermore, just about every liberal gets hate mail and it is possible the hate mail gotten by liberals is worse than that gotten by conservatives. I saw hate mail received by Alan Colmes, of all people, that bashed jews (apparently the writer of the email thought Colmes was jewish). So you can image what the other more vocal liberal get in their hate mail bag.

I doubt Malkin has that much to be complaining about. I really do not think that much of the supposed hate mail is really that bad. I think we must remember that conservatives have a different definition of hate mail than liberal. For them if you just argue against their point you are sending hate mail. Remember in 2001 and after when Democrats tried to criticize Bush's policies and the Republicans jumped up and said that Democrats were bashing Bush and hated Bush and that they (the Republican) had not seen so much vicious hatred leveled at a president. The Democrats were just criticizing his policies and trying to bring forth better policies.
