Entitlement. or No wonder the world hates us.
I got this off Crooks & Liars. Shout out to Jon over there he's kicking ass and taking names.
Anyway listen to this asshole:

"Charles Grassley (R-IA): You know, what--what makes our economy grow is energy. And, and Americans are used to going to the gas tank (sic), and when they put that hose in their, uh, tank, and when I do it, I wanna get gas out of it. And when I turn the light switch on, I want the lights to go on, and I don't want somebody to tell me I gotta change my way of living to satisfy them. Because this is America, and this is something we've worked our way into, and the American people are entitled to it, and if we're going improve (sic) our standard of living, you have to consume more energy."

You know I can't even comprehend this mindset. "Americans are entitled to it". WTF? How in the fuck did we earn the right to consume more energy than any other country and what gives us the right to increase our consumption? Hell, we had to start a fucking WAR to steal the oil so we could continue to increase consumption. These people are sick. Really. I mean there is either something chemically wrong with a mind that can think like that or they are just plain EVIL!

1. I heard Chuck spew this on the radio... almost ran off the road
You really should hear it instead of read it, there is some panic or something in his voice that makes the whole statement really odd.

Also, I completely agree with you: "we are entitled to it" It made my stomach hurt because he's my Senator.

4. Don't feel too bad my Senator was one of the 9
who voted against McCaines torture bill. My son was online today doing some research for school. They are learning about Congress and the Senate. When I came in to see how he was doing he looked at me funny. "Dad, how come all our representatives are Republicans? Do we live in the stupid state?" He's only 11.

8. WTF?!
The American people are entitled to it? That's like Cheney saying the American way of life will not be compromised.

Stupid mindset. I'm tired of their drivel. Stop working AGAINST Mother Nature and work WITH her.
