So just as I was getting a bit ho hum about South Park, they come up
with a brilliant one about racism. If you get a chance to, see this week's show about the ginger kids. It's all about racism and it jumps into ethnic cleansing. The minority in this case band together and decide to eliminate all those who don't look like them, the ginger kids (red-haired, freckled faced kids). It was so right on about how you can segregate a group of people, who are seemingly different from you, claim they have no souls and start keeping them out of places everyone else goes to.

Cartman is of course the Supremist in this until the other kids dye his hair and paint freckles on him changing him into a "ginger kid". Then he has to become the object of the bigotry he started.

1. That was a great episode
except I wanted to see Cartman thrown into the lava at the end.

Better than usual as of late.

3. Kenny was dead and not in the show for a couple of seasons.
They brought him back, but they don't kill him very much anymore.

9. Right
One time his soul was in Cartman's body. How did he get out of that one? I don't remember.

8. He died in this episode too
I think he was run over. The Ginger Kids were going after Kenny, Kyle and Stan and Kenny got ran over by some truck.

4. The creators have used the show as a vehicle....
to propose commentary that would otherwise never make it into the mainstream. South Park is one of the few shows that can truthfully illustrate the absurdity of various social circumstance. They take on pretty much everyone...and get away with it. Some may not care for the way in which they portray the topics, but it is difficult to deny that they have broken a plane that other shows have not in terms of social commentary.

Or, maybe its just a cartoon...you be the judge.

5. I agree
With both statements. They hate fairly and with balance.
Don't they know Clinton killed the Fairness Doctrine?

12. No, that was the Hairless Doctrine.
You have to go back a decade to see the death of the Fairness Doctrine.

7. I enjoyed the episode
I wonder if it taught Cartman anything. LOL and it reminded me of the fundies. That's who I kept thinking of through the whole episode.

10. They threw a lot of things in there. The part where
Cartman has all the ginger kids worked into a frenzy of ethnic cleansing where they are going to throw anyone who isn't a ginger kid into the lava was similar to their kind of fanaticism.
