I thought hell froze over with CNN headline about Frist
I was on cnn.com and saw the headline:

"Frist: More concerned with leaks than secret prisons"

and thought, "Holy, crap! Hell just froze over for CNN to write a headline like that!" but then read the story saw that Frist actually SAID that! I'm still kinda surprised that CNN didn't make the headline something like, "Democrat opportunists take advantage of poor Bill Frist." -JJ

4. I guess that Frist has decided...
...that all that "do no harm" stuff he learned in med school is just a bunch of liberal poppycock. Or maybe it's that they didn't teach ethics when he was attending Josef Mengele Medical School.

7. CNN link, and recommended
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist says he is more concerned about the leak of information regarding secret CIA detention centers than activity in the prisons themselves.

...

"My concern is with leaks of information that jeopardize your safety and security -- period," Frist said. "That is a legitimate concern."

...

Frist was asked if that meant he was not concerned about investigating what goes on in detention centers.

"I am not concerned about what goes on and I'm not going to comment about the nature of that," Frist replied.

He added that as Senate majority leader he is privy to classified information and discussions about prison activity.

So when America's torture trials begin, be sure to round up Frist as well.

10. What happened to Congressional oversight...
How's he supposed to "oversee" if he's not even concerned. Here we have the majority leader of one branch of government completely willing to follow-blindly another. -JJ

11. Partisanship
It's deadly, especially when you want to be the next president and you're not likely to get there if you help topple the guy in power now.

8. CNN has been less terrible ever since Katrina.
I was impressed with their hurricane coverage (I only read it online) and will now and then drop by the site. They're not carrying so much water for Bushco. They still have a ways to go before they're a REAL news source...for example, they still seem to equate Man Eats 400 Hot Dogs with Libby Indicted, but heck, I'm happy it's made progress.
