Edited on Thu Nov-10-05 09:15 AM by NNN0LHI
Someone kind of like Ross Perot? It sure would help out the Dem nominee in three years if someone could get something like this started. And how! I wouldn't hesitate to nominate a very left wing nominee if we could split the Republican base. We will never get these people to vote for a liberal but we sure might be able to get some of them to vote for some other Republican type nut. Has anyone else given this any thought?

1. I've been wondering why real conservatives haven't revolted against the

NeoCons yet. Maybe a party for genuine conservatives could spring up somewhere.

3. Well there is one called the Conservative party,
at least in New York State, but not very many people seem to use it.

2. I suspect they've already got the Liberatarian party
I wouldn't be surprised to see their fortunes improve, particularly if party leaders take a few steps to moderate their message.

4. There are third parties, but sadly, right-wingers are smarter than us...
...along this dimension. I think it might have something to do with the nature of the left-wing/right-wing divide. The left wing tries to change things and get things accomplished which aren't there now, so I think they may be more likely to hold out for those things even in ways that keep them from getting accomplished (like voting for Nader). Perhaps the right wing is more concerned with preserving things, and thus will go farther to keep them from changing.

5. Are you aware what percentage of the Republican vote Perot wheeled in?
Now here is a guy who looked and talked like Gabby Hays identical twin brother and he still got a bunch of them morons to vote for him. Think about it.
