Republicans getting that sinking feeling

Democrats Rising, W Sinking

Yesterday’s election returns send a signal for Bush & Co. reminiscent of what John Kenneth Galbraith once wrote about Black Monday 1929, “the end had come but it was not yet in sight.”

The bellwether gubernatorial results in New Jersey and Virginia have been widely reported as important harbingers of Bush’s declining fortunes.

But less renowned and as indicative results in local elections are also tremors of a pending political earthquake:

*In the 94th District legislative race in Missouri, Democrat Jane Bogetto stunned locals with a 58 percent victory, becoming the first Democrat to win the seat in 58 years.

Republican handlers can keep spewing spin, Democrats will leave them choking on their lies.

Pretty soon it'll be as smiple as this: Bush and Republicans bad, Kerry and Democrats good!

7. Sweet, sweet, sweet! C-SPAN 2 had Rahm Emanuel and Schumer on
Edited on Thu Nov-10-05 08:05 AM by in_cog_ni_to
this morning talking about this. We are set up for great things in '06 and '08. We have people working in ALL the red states, except 1, but that will change because of these results. We will now put people on the ground in that last red state. We're looking good. People have had enough of the repuke agenda. Emanuel says...the people like what we have to offer. Ideas for job creation, health care, education, ect... The Idiot's agenda is more of the same and Emanuel is "not in the business of giving the Prez advice on his agenda and if he wishes to continue the same thing, *shrug*, then who am I to argue?" :) The idiot-in-chief will "stay the course" (because he's never wrong :eyes:) and the repukes will lose BIG. I see us taking back the House, Senate AND the WH (if we're smart enough to run a STRONG candidate, like Wes Clark (just as an example ;)).
