I want to say a "GREAT BIG FUCK YOU" to all the OIL COMPANIES CEO'S
You all have 2 more months to gouge me. But after that it's Hybrid for me. The today's comment for Exxon's CEO Lee Raymond sent my head spinning. I'm soo fucking pissed.

Oil Company Executives Defend Profits
By H. JOSEF HEBERT, Associated Press Writer
Wed Nov 9,10:03 AM ET

WASHINGTON - The chiefs of five major oil companies defended the industry's huge profits Wednesday at a Senate hearing where lawmakers said they should explain prices and assure people they're not being gouged.

~snip~
"Lee Raymond, chairman of Exxon Mobil Corp., said he recognizes that high gasoline prices "have put a strain on Americans' household budgets" but he defended his companies huge profits, saying petroleum earnings "go up and down" from year to year."

Not only am I going to buy a hybrid car, but I telling everyone I know and educating everyone who will listen that we should say "FUCK ALL OF YOU OIL COMPANIES WE ARE GOING HYBRID".

4. I'm more pissed at any politician who would tell ME
that they have my best interest in mind when they fight the oil companies. If any politician had my best interest at heart, she would be educating me about peak oil and the push to ween ourselves off of ALL oil, not just foreign. As for high prices: bring them on. Sooner better than later.

Now that Katrina took my car, I will be riding 100% of the time. Maybe I will get a bicycle car or buy a hybrid someday, but it's 2 wheels and human power for me at this time.

11. I don't have the actual quote, but on TDS last night
the Exxon CEO said something to the effect of:

"in the early 90's our profit margins were very small. Now that gas is more expensive, or profits are much larger."

Basically, they're price gouging (and they even admit it). I wouldn't have a problem with the oil companies making obscene profits now if they were selling us cheap gas then and now need the profits to pay off their loans. What does bother me is that the profits of the 90's weren't good enough for them, so now they think they can gouge.

If your business is making money (and I doubt Exxon was strapped for cash in the 90's) you're doing alright, quit your bitching because they "weren't enough".

I fucking hate these people, I would have ZERO problem with simply executing these fuckers!

13. Buy a scooter....
I filled my Vespa LX50 on Saturday ($2.47) and rode it for 30 miles on Saturday and 30 miles a day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I have enough gas in it to get me to work tomorrow (which is 15 miles one way). I'll fill it tomorrow night after work.

You CAN ride a scooter in the winter with the right gear.

17. The money these people have.
I work in an industry that caters (not food catering) to very wealthy individuals. These are retired, ousted, or current CEO's of major corporations.
The money these people have is unfathomable by normal standards. I'm not talking tens of millions - that's chump change; I'm talking hundreds of millions or tens of billions of dollars. Several mansions, full-time personal assistants, $200K cars, friends in very high places. $50M yearly salaries are run of mill for these people.
Those were the pigs you saw today on TV reluctantly testifying to Congress. A waste of a good golf day for them.
I have been in this, or similar, businesses for over 30 years. The game has changed and the rich have pulled away into another zone all together. The socio-economic difference between these folks and the rest of us is huge. That's who runs this country now - these are the Bushies.

21. they've threatened Congress
both ABC and CBS nightly news covered the congressional hearings today. Both mentioned that big oil ceo's "warned Congress not to impose windfall profits tax .... or they might have to just produce less" :wtf:

those fat greedy assholes should be chained to the production treadmill, forced to produce as much as humanely possible, AND be taxed for their windfall profits. Screw that, nationalize the product. Break up the oil corporations monopolies.

they give profit a dirty name.

26. Sound like a great idea to me..
I'm sick and tired of both the big oil and utilities.

Hell, that's why I change light, phone, cell phone and any other utilities company as much as I can. No more then 2-5 years for any of them. They get to use to you and then start fucking you around. I have decent credit so I can offer to do it. As long as I don't owe them a penny I move on when I've had enough. I'm always looking for new companies with low rates and good costumer service. It's not until the company becomes big that costumer service begins to suck.
