1. So they fed the Congress a pack of lies and many bought it.
Now those who were tricked are demanding an explanation for the lies. In what sense do these talking points do anything but confirm what we are complaining about? Is that all they've got?

2. You know, I've read those quotes,
and few, if any, say that Iraq was developing WMDs. They're all "if," "could," "might," "would," statements. All about what would happen IF it were true. None saying that it is.

..."possiblility that...."

The Bush administration only emphasize one side of the coin...the side that will make people fearful. ( "Would"..."could"..."might"..."if"..."possibility that..." are the same words they are using to promote their bird flu hysteria,too.)

If their objective is to FOOL the American people, they have found the few words that can do.
