I Was Only Person At Precinct In CA That Requested Paper Ballot.
That was the comment of the precinct worker. "So, you're going to be the only one voting on a paper ballot? Let me go get one out of the box for you."

Then, I was given the booth meant for non-computerized voters, which still had the plastic cover attached, since it had not been used all day. There was no pen there, so she had to get me one. Then, after I blacked in the boxes, and put it in the green sleeve, I deposited it in the "ballot box," and I was thus, the only person who had submitted a ballot into that box.

I wonder how my votes will be counted. Will they still go through a machine, or will someone have to go through it by hand. I feel that at least for myself, I accomplished a little something today, even though obviously, nobody in my "repub" area gave a crap about using the electronic devices.

2. Kudos to you, and you're lucky you had an option!
As for other residents, I don't know if it's because they didn't give a crap, or they're not as aware as you are.

4. Optical scanners in 2004 were the EVMs with no paper trail in 2002.
It's all a fraud-o-rama.

5. I got one also. when I asked for proof the electronic vote was gonna
be accurate the precint captain adivsed me to just vote and leave.

so I asked again how can you prove this is gonna record the correct vote after somebody pushes the final button.

she had no sense of humor and probably did not want to say she couldnt offer any proof.

6. optical scanners in my Humboldt County precinct....
So the paper ballots still exist. I would never use a touch screen voting machine. Ever.

7. I've Never Had the Voting Machines
They just feed a paper ballot through a scanner. I *did* ask if the scanner came from Diebold, though.

Tammy

PS--They said that the scanner wasn't from Diebold.
