FEMA is billing Louisiana?..How much has Florida repaid?
Edited on Sun Nov-06-05 06:33 PM by SoCalDem
I mean really!! The whole reason a state is declared a disaster area, is because they cannot afford to clean up/fix up/recover on their own..

Is there a website that tracks how much states have been billed for, post-event...and how much they repaid??

1. Very good questions. This should be reviewed going back a few years.

3. When an area has been declared a disaster area
it's residents are qualified for low interest loans to rebuild.

5. I'm sure it's going to be different for Florida after this last
hurricane-battered season. It's not an election year, after all.

7. HAS Florida been billed?
I always see mentions of so many billion here and so many bollion there in aid being sent, but I have yet to read anything about any bills arriving on Jebbie's desk...marked "Past Due"

10. Didn't Florida get payments for phantom damage?? I have heard
that people doing clearing in Fl. are raking it in BIG. I wonder who sets these rates and I would love to see how they compare to clearing and recovery in less favored states.... oh, that's right, they do away with laws that set a fair wage.... oh bother.

15. After the shrub stole the election in 2004
They did a major crackdown on people who applied and received FEMA funds when they weren't qualified to. But this did not start until well after election day.

12. FEMA's work is usually billed a 75%/25% split between
the federal and state governments, respectively.

I would assume this is no different.

and other charities? Something's amisss here, folks..

Lotsa "billin' & reimbursin' & transferrin" going on.. It sounds very Halliburtonesque, and a clever cover for a TON O Money goin' missin'.:puke:

13. Let's see - 3,7 billion divided by
the number of people that died so that Brownie wouldn't have to be bothered at dinner. How much is that per death?
