Chavez, Castro undemocratic: Bush
US President George W. Bush mounted a thinly veiled attack on Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Cuban leader Fidel Castro in a speech overnight, accusing them of trying to "roll back" democratic progress. Although he never named either head of state, White House aides made no effort whatsoever to dispel the belief that he was talking about Mr Chavez and Mr Castro and that the president did not want "to elevate" his targets. "Ensuring social justice for the Americas requires choosing between two competing visions," he said in a speech.

"One offers a vision of hope. It is founded on representative government, integration in the world community, and a faith in the transformative power of freedom in individual lives," he said. "The other seeks to roll back the democratic progress of the past two decades by playing to fear, pitting neighbour against neighbour, and blaming others for their own failures to provide for their people," he said.

6. OK I get it
"One offers a vision of hope. It is founded on representative government, integration in the world community, and a faith in the transformative power of freedom in individual lives,"

That is from Mr. "The Geneva Conventions are Quaint, go it alone".

"The other seeks to roll back the democratic progress of the past two decades

Like the SC illegal unconstitutional selection of 2000?
Like the Stolen election in 2004?

by playing to fear,
Have you heard a TERRA alert lately? How about that dreaded Avian FLU?

pitting neighbour against neighbour, and blaming others for their own failures to provide for their people,"

Remember Katrina.

and Remember that

RePiglickins love to accuse you of what they are doing.

What a fucking loser we have. He's hated throughout the world, just like other radical third-world banana republic leaders. Thanks Dumbya for lowering the US to third world status :eyes:

5. Overnight?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Bush on a plane--headed out of town--during the "overnight"?

So the big wussy waits until he's safe in the air, and then he starts spewing big, bad words about Chavez?

This man is a complete moron and an embarrassment to our nation.

What a coward.

So easy to speak your mind, while flying away.

Idiot.

9. "integration in the world community" indeed!
Um, Jorge Bush, smart leaders don't want to be integrated into the world on YOUR corporate terms.

C'mon Hugo, let him have it.

into more of an enemy than need be. Castro - yeah he has not had a real election in decades.

Chavez has been elected with majorities many more times than Bush.
