Terry McAuliffe.....you IDIOT!!!!
just caught the end of a very bad deja vu affair, during which TM and Ed "Screwnose" Gillespie reprised their ludicrous confrontations during the last stolen election.

After Gillespie ranted and ranted about how poor Libby/Rove haven't had a chance to defend themselves in a court of law and that talk of pardons was ridiculous, the feckless moron didn't have the presence of mind to bring up poppy's Xmas pardons of Weinberger, etal, NOR did he mention the eight year Clinton inquisition, after which he was NOT indicted for anything, yet impeached in the most egregious misuse of the constitution since the last time a pres had that happen.

worse than all that was at the very end, when Gillespie said that Clinton, Kerry, and all the dem senators had the same intel as Bush, and went along with it, all TM could come up with was that Clinton didn't invade Iraq. He, of course, failed to refute the huge lie regarding the intel, when he could have mentioned how there's a whole array of intel not available to the Senate, starting with the PDBs....rememeber those, Terry, like the August 6 one, which you could have brought up....you know, the one Bush ignored and went fishing immediately after he had it READ to him?

jesus...when are we going to get some people to stand UP to these liars?

Wolf, then said "Sounds like a good point!"

WTF is he doing CHEERLEADING the talking points?

12. to be fair to that ferret, I don't think he said "err," but he was
saying that we had to bomb the intestines out of them, cause, 911 gave us the right to go after anybody, basically, that we thought might have the capability to do us similar harm

McAuliffe, to his credit, then asked screwnose something like, 'who should we invade next, and on what pretext?'

4. Why don't you direct your question to Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, or...
Edited on Sun Nov-06-05 12:54 PM by ClassWarrior
...John Conyers? You know the one: "When are we going to get some people to stand UP to these liars?" True, we still have some pink tutu-wearing spokespeople in our ranks, and it's galling. But please don't help the Radical RW frame our entire Party as spineless. Please choose your words a little more carefully.

NGU.

10. yeah, right....I'm helping the RW frame us that way
truth hurts, and the other posts here have made the same point I just did, but lost when I hit the wrong button

combination of TOO MANY wimps, thanks, in large part to DLC/corporate ties, along with coroporate media complicity. as one poster's already said the ones who speak out don't get axed back

it's wuss vs. RW maniac, or RW vs. nobody at all, as happened on today's This Week roundtable, which featured Gingrich, Fareed, Will, Douglass (?), and Stephie, who let Gingrich spout the most astounding combination of outright lies, distortion, and blatant hypocrisy imaginable

13. So why do you blame our people...
...when the Corporate Media refuses to put them on?

And let me get this straight... In your world "TOO MANY" equals "all"?

Okay... Hmmm...

6. I'm no fan of McAuliffe....but thought he did a very good job...got alot
of points in that he never made when he was the Chairman of DNC. I haven't heard any other Dem make the point that while Clinton might have had the same intelligence he didn't invade. Most of the Dems don't even counter that. He laughed at Gillespi on several occasions (throwing back at the goofy smirking grin Gillespi was throwing at him.) He pumped up Corzine and got a good dig in that Bloomberg has policy positions that are more Democratic than Repug.

Lots more good points in about Bush should fire Rove and live up to what he promised. Also said Bush should come out and say that he will NOT pardon Libby so that he will be held accountable. He really kept hammering Gilespi about Bush's moral leadership failure.

I give him an A-... And I can't stand him.

11. I've heard lots and lots of dems make the point about WJC not
invading Iraq, despite, even, his 'declared policy of regime change'

they made the point that he bombed the shit out of their WMD sites, then bombed some more, when Scott Ritter told him there were still some there

he did make some good points, true, but my whole deal is that dems have GOT to do a better job of countering the total lie that, A) everybody thought Saddam had WMDs and B) dems bought into the war, cause they had the SAME intel as Bush had

Mort Zuckerman, last night on McLaughlin, went on and on and on about how we were CERTAIN of WMDs, along with everybody else in the solar system, and Clift and the African American from the Chicago Tribune didn't say ONE WORD to refute the stream of lies

I'm getting so sick of this, cause pugs are mounting their defense of the war, in retrospect, on a fundament of lies even MORE egregious than the ones they started it with, cause the evidence is getting out there more obviously, yet STILL the dems/journos are loathe to call the lies what they are.

they have to STOP them in their tracks on this, and on "Joe Wilson's lies". they can't let the same stuff get repeated over and over and over, like the Gore crap, the Swiftboat crap, until it becomes a McDonald's jingle in the public subconscious

if we're going to take at least one house next year, the dems have to start wising up, calling the pugs on their lies, and pick a very few topics to repeat endlessly, until the public gets what's being done in their name

...Our Gabi was the earliest and loudest voice on DU crying for Kerry's people to push back against the Swiftboaters. He was right, and he was right immediately. Good political instincts will out.

7. When will the media invite people who will speak up
It is the old circle jerk that the media enjoys. They invite a Rethug that will say anything for the party. They balance this by getting a Dem who won't challenge. The result is that the media can than demonstrate that the Democratic party is weak. It's BS.

16. I remember seeing a "debate", where both of these bozos
"squared off" at Catholic University (or whatever their alma mater was).

:puke:

Gillespie sweats and jiggles like cold jello on a hot day.
McAwful struck poses and sneered archly.
