3. Russert throws the "You supported Alito in the 90's" meme
Kennedy says that was a long time ago, before he had a judicial record.

kennedy now bringing up strip search of 10 year old ruling, and opposition to Family and Medical Leave.

Now Russert throws out a kennedy quote from long ago about judicial philosophy. Trying to paint him as a hypocrite.

Kennedy replis that nomination of Judge Bork changed that. Made judicial philosophy an issue.

4. Now Kennedy tying it all together
Need a cleaning of the White House. "Right wing has taken over the West Wing." Scandals corruption shown in Katrina, Palmegate and many otehr levels.

7. Kennedy has no need to justify himself
he was on the right side of the Iraw War issue from the beginning. he voted against it, and stood loudly against it.

8. Kennedy doesn't, but I'ave seen this becoming
the question of the day for Dems on several of the shows this morning with the goal apparently being to frame any renunciation as a poll-driven response. Dems had better get on this.

6. Russert threw a "Gotcha"
Gave a blind quote which kennedy criticized. Then Russert said "That was by John Kerry."

What a fucking scumbag Russert is.

Kennedy successfully turned it back to the subject of White House use of intelligence.

9. Gah. I knew it.
While Russert was reading the quote, I was thinking, "Kerry or Hillary?"

Kennedy did okay, he was obviously suspicious of the quote too and didn't totally fall for the trap. But WHY don't the Democrats just say, "The Bush administration LIED to Congress! They lied day after day, continuously to the Congress and the American people, and they cynically timed the push for war to the Congressional midterms! They used the media, including the willing Tim Russert, to push a LIE on the American people and on Congress."

Why don't they just say this?

caution about Saddam's capabilities doesn't translate into, "Let's bomb Iraq before the weapons inspectors finish their work." This is there way of letting Bush off the hook instead of pointing out that he violated the IWR when he wouldn't let weapons inspections change his determination to invade.

No Democratic president, senator, or congressman would have invaded Iraq after weapons inspections were proving war military action was not necessary. NONE.

Russert is pulling the exact same move Hannity did - so what page is he working off of?

13. I couldn't have said it better...Russert is a F***ing scumbag. I have
grown to detest him, another cuasualty of B* administration. He is the first POTUS I've truly hated; like LOATHED. And anyone who supports his lies, I find myself hating with equality. I want him impeached NOW.
