Embarrassing: A Latin American idol calls the US Prez "human trash," while
most of the presidents of the Latin countries daringly stand up against US policies. It is not embarrassing to see those countries standing up (I'm a US Latina, so I understand the value of such action), but the fact that the US president has fallen so, so low, that the hatred he has awaken in the rest of the world has fueled such hostility, lack of diplomacy and has basically destroyed any ounce of respect toward the US that was left.

We should all feel embarrassed by what this all means. In such short amount of time, Latin countries'presidents, which should have been the greatest US allied, have challenged any potential of US policies working in that area. And worst, their citizens are following...

6. No extradition?
Brazil was a haven for Nazis after WWII. Why shouldn't our Nazis be checking out the landscape just in case?

7. It's in all the papers worldwide. Maradona is a soccer great often
compared to Pele.

Smoking cigars given to him by Cuban President Fidel Castro, Maradona said, "We are going to stand against the human trash known as Bush."

2. oh man, I know....
you have that so right. I don't like the guy's policies or anything, but he is the face of our nation and you want him to at least be respectable. But damn... He's really an embarassment. Most of the world looks at the U.S. like we're a bunch of dumb rubes who hide behind our military strength, and even that isn't looking so robust nowadays.

4. Remember when the united states was one of the good guys?
We had a chance to be that way after nine eleven when the world was on our side and President Bush squandered it. Who could have possibly voted for the man?

10. when Clinton left office
the U.S. was the most respected and best liked superpower that ever existed. I remember Clinton would go to other countries and people would go nuts. He could go out in the crowds and be mobbed, I think he did that in Germany and Ireland. People just loved him and the U.S. That's not to say that he was perfect or anything, but the world loved the guy and our country by and large. Bush would get killed if he tried to go out in public in another country. They hate him so much that he breaks record protests whereever he goes. Just on the basis of him being gone in four years, well three, our image will get a little better, but he's done so much damage to our international standing that some effects will be generational. Can you ever imagine another country ever taking the word of an American president with regards to going to war? Never again.

12. Well what does it tell you that noone shook the presidents hand at
PJP2's funeral (may he rest in peace). How bad of human being do you have to be to get snubbed durring the pope's funeral? I am with you 100 percent.

9. If Hillary Clinton runs for and wins the Presidential Election
in 2008, Big Dog can and will be very nstrumental in re-building the bridges burned by the current moron in office.

Bill Clinton is still very-well received in lots of countries throughout the world

19. That is a positive with Hillary.
You get two for one. I guess no one appreciated that back when Bill was President. Maybe Hillary might swing a little more to the left where I would prefer her.

15. With all due respect

Trash just lies there minding its own business. Although decay can have undesirable side effects.

It doesn't set out to kill and destroy.

This is an outrageous insult to trash.

16. I think it's very encouraging. For too long nearly every country in the
world has had to exist under the thumb of the mighty US. It's well past time they say "No more!". I think it's great our military forces are being thrown out of all the countries we have squatted in for decades. EVERYONE will be better off if this gross imbalance is corrected.

18. but the correction shouldn't be done at so much cost, because
by the US going down the way it is, everyone, all over the world, will have to pay some price during the transition to a more (we hope) balanced world...No matter what, it is embarrasing.
