Everything you ever wanted in a Right Wing Comment and more.

All and all, it is always the dems fault

The oddest post, you get a feel for the total right-wing point of view

Your message comes through loud and clear, you oppose this President and all he stands for, I cannot defend all of he President's positions because I don't agree with each and everyone of them. Yes I did vote for him, but it was not based on him being a Christian, it was more that I oppose the philosophy of the Democratic party. I don't believe either side is worth a damn, but we don't have much to choose from, but I will tell you this I'm fed up with both, and I will be voting independent next time around. At this time, people are more concerned with their party then what is good for the country. Total polarization, absolutely counter productive. We have no true statesman.

However, I disagree with you on some points. Hussein had to go, I'm sorry, this man was and still is a meance to the planet. Lord knows how many people died under his regime, (if you are concerned about things like that). For over ten years the world community decided he was a threat, remember the sanctions imposed by the UN. The diplomatic strategy put in place to peacefully find the weapons of mass distruction. If no weapons existed, why is it that the UN could not produce this fact and be done with it? Ten years or so was not enough time?

911 was the straw that broke the camels back. How many times were we previously attacked and did nothing? Over 3000 people gone in one day, what do you do? Personally, I don't care if Hussein was involved or not, you want to get technical, technical is probably on your side. It's amazing how convienent the rule of law applies when you need it, and on a daily basis its abused, and when it works for us we say nothing, and when it doesn't we scream our heads off. The man had to go and I'm glad he is gone!

Now, trying to make the mideast region democratic, thats a different subject and I am not in favor of this task, it is a monumental undertaking, one in which we are not prepared for. Here you can come down on Bush all you like, he's trying to sell freedom, thats not our business. I suppose we have no choice with Iraq because of our actions, we just can't leave them hanging, but please the whole region is insanity.

And you site wealth. The sound bite, lets get down on the wealthy Repbulicans, only looking out for themselves, screw the rest of people. Well if I'm not mistaken, to be a high official of this government, only wealthy people can apply and hold positions, and that is true for Democrat or Republican.

Democrats take advantage ot the situation. They let those evil Republicans do all the dirty work, you know reducing taxes on the rich, then they site class warfare and how the poor man is losing out, all the while running to the bank with their latest windfall. The Democrats have done nothing for the working man for a long time. To me its the party of misery loves company. Everything is done in groups. You've got unions, environmentalist, blacks, women and their positions on abortion and their misguided stance about their right to choose, Homosexual community and their agenda and whatever other group claiming injustice that comes down the pike.
Look what the unions have done for the auto workers of america. They have priced themselves right out of the market place. How is it that the highest paid auto industry can't produce the finest cars in the world? The Japanese have figured a way to do it paying lower wages. Listen, I'm not in favor of lower wages, but you have to compete, or you lose your share of the market. I could go on but I have to stop, it would take forever.

Republicans are no better. This conservative attitude that if you don't think as I do, then your point of view doesn't count is way out of line. The fact that one party is in total control of the government is not a good thing; we lose our check and balance system. The religious right, I don't know what is wrong with them, throwing their weight around when they get in power, thinking they are all righteous. Lord's not happy with this, you know how he dealt with the Sandhedrin, he put them in their place, these evangelics should know this stuff.

I read some of the articles on your webpage trying to make a case for rising inflation and no wages for the poor, its a stretch at best Listen, you haven't seen high inflation or eroded wages. When Carter was president, and I think you were about 6 years old, those days had some serious inflation. Interest rates were at 20% with double digit inflation and a recession around the corner. Believe me, under Clinton and now Bush, you've had it real good, you just don't know it.

I don't know about your neck of the woods, but out here in the west, things have been rockn' and rollin' for some time. Record housing sales, unprecedented community growth, I'm self employeed and I'm having my best year to date. I know not all people around the country can say that, and I wish they could, but personally no major complaints. If i have any complaints, its with our elected officials, and thats with both parties.

I;ve said enough, I'm done for now.

1. He is a rather pragmatic
Republican, I'd say.

This is the kind we could bring over to us with the right candidate.

2. I'd love to hear more about my "misguided stance on (my) right to choose"
NOT.

What a steaming piece of shit.

3. I may not agree with him down the line, but he isn't a wingnut
He's an independent thinker, and one who is looking for good ideas regardless of which party comes up with them. He sees that the same ol', same ol' doesn't cut it.

This is the kind of voter who would respond to results-oriented proposals, rather than ideology-oriented rhetoric. I think progressive ideas can deliver more of what this kind of voter is looking for; we need to focus more on making that clear. He's more interested in the good of the country than the good of either party, and would be turned off by the blame game.

In that respect, he's like me.

Peace.

4. This may come across as elitist snobbery
but so be it.

One wonders what sort of business this person runs. Given the rambling nature of his diatribe, the absolutely abysmal grammar and his spelling and punctuation, one would hardly imagine it to be anything that requires precise communication. Maybe he pumps out the septic tanks of those housing-bubble McMansions. I hear there's good money in it.

My criticisms notwithstanding, we could never bring the person to the side of light, decency and goodness. He doesn't vote "for" his candidate, but rather "against" Democrats.

I'm guessing he would feel threatened by the Democratic vision of an egalitarian America.

SSS (Sorry So Snarky) :dilemma:

5. I agree
he sums it all up with (paraphrasing):

I don't like Bush either, but I'm making lots of dough while more people are starving, so I don't care. It's not as bad as under Carter.

I like how he seems confused about 9/11 and Iraq too.
