Where will bush vacation when he leaves office?
Will he travel overseas, being the most hated man in the world.

3. I'm guessing he will leave in a box and won't be concerned about
vacations. (Mods, this is an observation, not a threat.)

12. Yes, I predict he'll be martyred by his own 'sponsors.'
Edited on Sat Nov-05-05 08:02 PM by TahitiNut
He's just too dangerous as a loose cannon and there's no possible way, once his narcissistic supply dries up, that there'd be enough medications in the world or sycophants per square yard to handle him that he wouldn't implode. His value to the 'cause' as a martyr is far too great to ignore. I figure somewhere in the 1st half of 2008.

34. That is my plan~I will be in the Hague

I want to stand on the ground of the historic site.

What would cause it to go to the Hague instead of His Supreme Fixed Court?

8. He never went overseas before he was appointed
so why would he go now? Maybe he will go visit his best buddy Vicente Fox... no wait, he's pissed him off too. Oh, well can't go to his vacation spot in Mexico.

11. I wonder where he'll live?
When he was figurehead/payee for the Texas Rangers, he lived in Highland Park in Dallas, with a bunch of other uber-wealthy white folks. It is hard to believe that he'll live full-time in that scrub ranch he clears brush on.

I think his need for coming into contact with only the true believers, would lead him back to Highland Park (or some similar conclave of mansions and old family money.)

VACATION? Before politics, he just took time off between getting bailed out of his business failures. Recently he's spoken of some booze-soaked trips to New Orleans from his youth (thanks for the compassionate conservatism.) I don't really think he's worked enough to even think about vacation.

20. I read where they've been house hunting in Highland Park
Cheney lived there also, before he was all of a sudden declared to be a Wyoming resident, courtesy of Harriet Miers.

The Missus wants no part of that godforsaken "ranch." She's a city girl. * hates travel, so she'll probably go off on foreign junkets with her girlfriends.

27. After looking it up, Clinton is last one with lifetime protection
1997 Congress passed legislation in 1994 stating that Presidents elected to office after January 1, 1997, will receive Secret Service protection for 10 years after leaving office. Individuals elected to office prior to January 1, 1997, will continue to receive lifetime protection. (Public Law 103-329)

when the old man goes? Poppy only bought the place around the time he became Reagan's VP. A relative owned it previously.

35. Is that true?
Is that true? I've stayed less than a mile from that place in a great B&B plus there's a great place to get killer lobster and or crab rolls.

The reason I ask is that it looks to be a place where it's really a pain to secure so why would the secret service let him live there or buy the place? Seems to me it would make the S.S. job much harder and dangerous. Then again, when did the anointed klan care about their servants? I wonder if there's a shrine to Prescott's money making skill with the Nazis. What a great grandfather, almost like having an uncle Adolph!

37. I think I've stayed at the same place
I remember that little place in town next to the bridge that sold seafood.

Walker Point was owned by a Walker relative, and Poppy bought it up when it was put up for sale. There isn't any family estate. Prescott lived in Greenwich, but even Poppy wasn't born there. He was born in Massachusetts.

I thought Walker Point would be easy to secure, and it has been since Poppy was president. It's on its own little peninsula and easy to block off. It has to be patrolled by water, though.

So he won't be needing it to make him look like a cowboy down home beer drinkin' brush clearin' hardworkin' fella once he's gone. May as well slither back to his roots.
